Megan Thee Stallion‘s kissing the top of iTunes charts thanks to a viral challenge that’s exploded in honor of her ‘Suga’ song, ‘Savage.’

The J. White Did It-produced cut, a fan favorite from her latest top 10 EP, is the latest tune enjoying a sales surge thanks to TikTok.  In Stallion’s case, users of the platform upload videos of themselves doing choreography to the bop – a phenomenon that even caught on with celebrities like Tinashe, KeKe Palmer‘Black-ish’ star Marsai Martin, and more.

The result of the hoopla sees Megan riding high on real-time digital sales tallies, outpacing some of the day’s biggest Hip Hop hits.  See what we mean inside:

Before the clock struck midnight Friday (March 20), ‘After Hours’ – the highly anticipated new album from The Weeknd – had already amassed nearly 1 million pre-saves on Apple Music, a record for the digital retailer.

Shortly after its premiere, the set zoomed to the top of the site’s American sales charts – a feat duplicated on the country’s iTunes tally. That chart domination isn’t local to the USA, however.

As of time reported, the ‘Heartless’-led LP is trumping the competition of over 60 countries.

Who knew comic relief from a viral pandemic would spawn a viral hit for Cardi B?

Last week, the 27-year-old – in her typical animated manner – took to social media to express her fears over the spread of coronavirus.  As the video garnered attention across the Web, DJ iMarkkeyz fashioned quotes from the visual into a song and uploaded the tune to iTunes and Apple Music.

Earlier this week, Cardi gave the remix her stamp of approval – a “thumbs up” that gave it just the push needed to shoot it to the top of digital sales charts.

Thanks to new single, ‘Never Worn White,’ Katy Perry is seeing her name colored atop a number of iTunes sales tallies across the globe.

Released just yesterday (March 4), buzz for the song’s official accompanying visual was heightened when it was rumored to feature footage of the Pop singer’s growing baby bump – a murmur put to rest and confirmed by the time the J.A.C.K.-directed clip arrived to YouTube.

Yet, while the video amassed a whopping 6 million views in less than 24 hours (making it the day’s most trending media on the platform), its mention at number 1 doesn’t end with that list.

As we reported here, Beyoncé opened the celebration of life ceremony for NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna on Monday (February 24) with a moving performance of her hits ‘XO’ and ‘Halo.’

Backed by a choir and stringed orchestra, the 38-year-old soared in the emotionally charged rendition of the tunes (the former, found on her 2013 self-titled, chart-topping LP, was reportedly one of Bryant’s favorites).

Now, just a day after earning critical acclaim aplenty for her stirring showing, the diva is seeing that fanfare reflected commercially as both songs have flown up real-time sales tallies.

Seventeen years after taking home the Best Original Song Academy Award for his chart-topping ‘8 Mile’ soundtrack hit, ‘Lose Yourself,’ rapper Eminem stunned viewers at last night’s Academy Awards when he performed the tune for the first time at the ceremony (February 9).

Accompanied by an orchestra (as we reported here), the energetic showing ended with a rousing standing ovation – a response also gifted to the stirring performance rendered by Tony/Grammy/Emmy-winner Cynthia Erivo. The 33-year-old, on hand as a nominee in this year’s Best Original Song and Best Actress categories for her work on the biographical film about Harriet Tubman, brought the house down with her soaring rendition of ‘Stand Up’ from the movie’s accompanying soundtrack.

Yet, while she walked away empty-handed from the venue (losing in both categories), peruse of the most updated iTunes sales charts are proving her a winner there.

Fans of Taylor Swift, affectionately called #Swifties, are opening their wallets after the Pop diva opened her heart on the recently released ‘Miss Americana’ Netflix event – a visual experience branded a ‘raw and emotionally revealing look’ at the singer ‘during a transformational period in her life.’

Addressing thoughts of motherhood to that 2009 Kanye West incident, her alliance with the LGBTQ+ community, and so much more, the special unveiled a candid look at the Grammy winner who – as of late – has been more vocal than ever about her life as it relates to her artistry (see:  battle with Scooter Braun).

The reward for her candor?  Further chart domination for titles that already did their fair share of damage respectively on the Billboard 200 over the last decade.

Shakira, Shakira!

Shining in more ways than one, the Grammy winner stomped across Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium stage in $20,000 Dan Life crystal boots last night (February 2) and set television sets and Twitter alight in the process with her high octane, co-headlined Super Bowl performance with fellow Latin Pop diva Jennifer Lopez.

Cranking out hits ‘She Wolf,’ ‘Whenever, Wherever,’ ‘Waka Waka,’ and more, the songstress – who also celebrated her 43rd birthday yesterday – got quite the gift from viewers, updated iTunes reveals, as there has been reignited interest in her world renown catalog.

Camila Cabello fans, affectionately called #Camilizers, were undoubtedly excited and worried when the 22-year-old dropped her sophomore album, ‘Romance,’ last week (December 6).

The set – despite the singer’s onslaught of television, Web, and print promo in the months leading to its release – failed to garner a top 40 hit to precede it.  Beyond the monster success of her Shawn Mendes-duet ‘Senorita,’ which is included on the tracklist of ‘Romance’ but was originally featured on the deluxe edition of his self-titled third album, Cabello’s LP was believed by many to be released on the back of little buzz.

Peruse of iTunes charts around the globe, however, has seemingly canceled that presumption.

As of time reported, the effort has manged to hit #1 on the real-time sales tallies of the United States, United Kingdom, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, and over 45 other countries.  To add, it also sits at #1 on iTunes and Apple Music’s ‘Worldwide Album Sales’ charts.

Apparently an out-of-the-box success (even though industry analysts have yet to reveal their official predictions), Cabello is not resting on her laurels – a feat evidenced by her visit to ‘Ellen’ the day of the project’s release.  If you missed her stunning rendition of ‘Romance’ single ‘Living Proof,’ hop inside:
