Inspired by the New York Times Best-Seller ‘Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents,’ the riveting film follows Isabel Wilkerson (played by Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor), as she writes the book. She journeys across Germany, India, and the US to research the caste systems in each country’s history.

Anchored by Ellis, ‘Origin’ also stars Jon Bernthal, Vera Farmiga, Audra McDonald, Niecy Nash-Betts, Nick Offerman, and Blair Underwood.

Meghan Trainor is gearing up for her first North American tour in 7 years in celebration of the June 14 arrival of her forthcoming sixth studio album ‘Timeless.’

Releasing courtesy of Epic Records, the new LP comes as her first since charging into the Billboard 200’s top 20 with 2022’s ‘Takin’ It Back.’

Rihanna and SZA are the only Black women in the nearly 78-year history of Billboard’s all-genre album chart to own projects that have charted for over 300 weeks (the equivalent of nearly 6 years).

While Rih leads the pack with the 410-week stay of her last LP, the 2016-released ‘Anti,’ the ongoing success of SZA’s 2017 debut album, ‘CTRL,’ puts it in a unique Billboard club due to its extended tenancy on the chart.

Barely a day after DDG outraged his fans for sharing photos of him holding his 3-month-old baby Halo with one hand, the rapper offers a subtle clap back in the form of the music video for his latest single ‘Shoot Up Your Block.’

Arriving just two weeks after he lifted the lid on the visual for the banger ‘‘Going to the Top,’ ‘Block’ sees the 26-year-old on some serious daddy duty while spitting lyrics about protecting his family by any means necessary.

“I’m not affiliated with gangs but for him I spin. Shoot up your block,” he raps. “When it comes to my son and my family, you’ll get popped.”

While many were elated to learn Rihanna‘s long-awaited return to music would come as headliner of the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show, there was one critics who made headlines for suggesting he was among those who were a bit less excited: sports journalist Stephen A. Smith.
