Unlike its ‘Rewind’ and ‘Vault’ predecessors, ‘Replay’ looks to dust off and showcase albums (and eras) from a library of pop music hits.  Today, as fans gear up for the release of her Bangladesh driven new album, TGJ shines a new light on Lil Kim‘s debut album ‘Hardcore‘.

With 1.5 million units sold worldwide and over 18 million singles sold worldwide, it’s with a heavy heart many a Nicki Minaj fan accepts that the ‘Roman Reloaded‘ era is now over.

However, they won’t have to wait too long before getting their hands on its follow up. For, via her personal Twitter account, she has confirmed she has returned to the studio to craft it.

After ample speculation, it has today been confirmed that Justin Timberlake and Jay Z will hit the road together for the ‘Legends Of The Summer Tour’.

Billed as a must-see extravaganza, the jaunt will follow the release of Timberlake’s new album ‘The 20/20 Experience’ which hits stores on March 19th. The pair collaborated on the project’s lead single ‘Suit & Tie’.

With the newest Youtube-influenced Billboard charts in effect, the records of pop history’s premieres are in jeopardy.

Indeed, the likes of Michael and Janet Jackson, Prince, and Madonna may have had to rely on talent, single sales, and radio play to put them atop charts, but this stream-heavy generation will see its chart-toppers nab the Hot 100’s top spot through Internet play in conjunction with the aforementioned.

The refreshing of next week’s tally will see the first effects of yesterday’s announcement and, as previously reported, will land Baauer‘s viral hit ‘Harlem Shake’ at the #1 spot. Sure enough, pop princess Rihanna‘s name will pop up just a few spots behind him…

As fans may remember, video streaming giant Youtube cracked down on the likes of Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and Rihanna for reporting millions of fake views to their high performing Youtube channels…

Well, now we know why.

For, today saw music industry Bible ‘Billboard’ announce that it will factor in Youtube views (with digital downloads and radio airplay) to determine song’s chart rankings…

While she may have been popular from the jump, there’s no denying the powerful hand Roc Nation played in turning Rihanna into the Pop force she is today.

Of course, while this force has undoubtedly been driven by the work of her writers and producers and not her own ‘voice’, last year saw Riri  showcase her ‘inner singer’ with ‘Unapologetic‘, crafted by the likes of Elijah Blake, Sia and Mike Will Made It.

This move, albeit long overdue, has now seen the star do what many of her contemporaries would find impossible and reach #1 on iTunes USA with a traditional ballad. A ballad, named ‘Stay‘.

Call it a clapback!

After a week of ill-informed media outlets painting her as Milli Vanilli following “that” performance at President Obama‘s inauguration, Beyonce served up quite the response at the Super Bowl 2012 press conference in New Orleans today.

 Indeed, prior to promising an “announcement” following her performance this Sunday, the 31 year old belted out the US National Anthem acapella – asking immediately after “any questions?”
