Over the years, That Grape Juice has established a distinguished voice that – whether loved or loathed – sparks discussion, debate, and on occasion drama!

Though comprised of seasoned writers who share a similar outlook on Urban Pop culture, the idiosyncrasies of the TGJ team members often lend for quite heated debates “behind the scenes” about the hottest topics.

It’s that time of year again!

November 24th brings with it the 2019 American Music Awards live on ABC.

As ever, all eyes are on the nominees for the latest instalment of the annual extravaganza, which this year airs from LA’s Microsoft Theater.

And folk need not wonder anymore, because the full list has just been unveiled by Grammy winner Ella Mai.

With the likes of Cardi B, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Lizzo, Lil Nas X, and Camila Cabello nabbing nominations, find out who else scooped nods below…

Cardi B may not ‘need more press,’ but she’s certainly getting it thanks to the continued history-making success of her debut album, ‘Invasion of Privacy.’

Beyond its enduring status on charts, the set’s helped fill the 26-year-old’s trophy case with a Grammy (click here to read), American Music awards, Billboard awards, ASCAP awards, and more.  With those game-changing captures in her rearview, the ‘Bodak Yellow’ beauty can now color in a new achievement on her list of accomplishments thanks to an ‘Album of the Year’ win at tonight’s BET Awards (June 23).

We’re less than a week away from the 91st annual Academy Awards and, much like Hollywood, we are buzzing!

Beyond the fashions and the show’s biggest star (the awards), chatter around the picks for this year’s musical performers is growing.  To answer the anticipation the Academy recently announced details for the ‘Best Original Songs’ to be performed during the ceremony.

Among the names?  Grammy winners Lady Gaga and Jennifer Hudson.  More inside:
