Rihanna‘s smash-hit ‘Diamonds’ was almost not hers.

The song’s producer, Benny Blanco, recently reflected on the origins of the 2012 chart-topper  – which he wrote and produced with Sia and Stargate – in a new interview with Apple Music‘s Zane Lowe. During the interview, he revealed the surprising artist who originally recorded the song.

Justin Bieber may already be pacing to hit the top spot on next week’s Billboard 200 with his sixth studio album, ‘Justice’ (as we reported here), but he’s looking to mirror that success on the Hot 100.

At writing, ‘Peaches’ – the latest single from the LP – is locked in a tight battle with Cardi B‘s ‘Up’ for ownership of the chart’s summit next week.  If accomplished, it would make Bieber the first male vocalist (and third artist overall) to have four or more #1 debuts on the tally.

The Boondocks may have waved goodbye to Adult Swim viewers in summer 2014, but 5 years later HBO Max sent fans of the beloved comic-turned-TV show into a frenzy with news it would be rebooted in 2020.

And though production around the series was setback due to the death of legendary actor-comedian John Witherspoon (who voiced ‘Granddad’), new reports indicate the streamer has settled on an updated launch time for the satirical animation.

Rosie O’Donnell may have once ruled the airwaves as ‘Queen of Nice’ while she hosted her hit 90’s talk show, ‘The Rosie O’Donnell Show,’ but fans of stars who have been on the receiving end of her commentary or criticism wouldn’t quite dub her as such.
