Although he garnered much positive press thanks to his victory lap at a recent VERZUZ showdown against Omarion, some critics believe Mario‘s attempt to capitalize on the hoopla backfired when he announced Tory Lanez as the feature on his new single ‘Main One.’

Reportedly drawn from his forthcoming sixth studio album (the follow-up to 2018’s ‘Dancing Shadows’), the new Mike Crook-produced bop sees its performers trade verses about giving extra special treatment to the main lady in their lives.

“Girl, you can be honest with me/ You don’t gotta be toxic with me,” Mario croons. “You don’t need no other options but me/ ‘Cause you might just be my main one.”

Announcement of the tune’s Friday (July 15) arrival drew quick criticism for the GRAMMY nominee for collaborating with Lanez amid allegations he shot and assaulted popular rapstress Megan Thee Stallion.

The naysayers obviously weren’t enough to stop Mario from moving forward with the unveiling of ‘Main,’ which is available inside for your streaming pleasure.  Hop in to hear it in full.

20 years after dominating the Urban-Pop landscape, beef is what’s popping most among the members of B2K these days.

And now Omarion is looking to tell his side of the story.

As reported, the drama between O and his former bandmates has been boiling to dizzying degrees in the wake of his VERZUZ showdown with Mario. Indeed, jabs have been thrown, as well as claims of J-Boog, Raz-Z, and Lil Fizz being “background dancers.”

With tensions high and the world weighing in, Omarion has unlocked the trailer for a five-part documentary series – in which he seemingly spills all.

Chronicling the band’s 2019 reunion for The Millennium Tour, no stone is left unturned – with everything from internal fighting, old wounds, and Fizz’s controversial relationship with Apryl Jones (the mother of Omarion’s children) laid bare.

Ahead of its July 21 premiere, check out the trailer for ‘Omega: The Gift and The Curse’ below…

The drama between B2K‘s members is boiling to scorching degrees in the wake of Omarion‘s VERZUZ battle with Mario.

As reported, the latter brought out impersonators to mock the much-publicized issues within the band.

The move not only generated laughs from those watching but also from B2K members J-Boog and Raz-B.

Needless to say, Omarion did not see the humor and launched a tirade against his former comrades – branding them his “three backup dancers” who always sought his “downfall.”

Now, J-Boog has weighed in with a lengthy letter spilling his side of the B2K fall-out and landed a number of zingers on O.

Days after making headlines for saying he was a better rapper than Eminem (as we reported here), The Game isn’t playing any games with detractors who believe otherwise.

The ‘How We Do’ hitmaker (born Jayceon Taylor) not only got lips moving when he took to REVOLT’s ‘Drink Champs’ podcast to challenge Em to a VERZUZ battle, but jaws dropped when he took to social media over the weekend to reiterate the stance.

“Is Eminem better than me? Nah, he not, bro. And I think the best way to see if he is or if I am is let’s rap about it. Let’s get up. Let’s get in the studio,” he said. “Let’s rap about it. Let’s do something. Let’s put something out. Let’s see ’cause that’s what this shit is, bro. It’s rap.”

And while Eminem has yet to render an official response, his dedicated fans have been taking Taylor to task on his behalf.  Tired of the hoopla, Game went on a lengthy Twitter tirade Tuesday night (March 8) to clap back at people who suggest Slim Shady is a better rapper because he’s sold more records.

In late September, Ashanti sent her fans into a frenzy when she took to ‘The Tamron Hall Show’ to reveal she was set to re-record her biggest hits (as we reported here).

The news – of particular importance for the R&B diva who is just 6 months away from celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of her eponymous debut album – was trumpeted again during a recent interview on ‘The Angie Martinez Show.’

While there, the GRAMMY winner dished on a number of hot topics in her life including the “awkward” #VERZUZ reunion with ex-boyfriend/rapper Nelly, remembering DMX, working on a tell-all documentary, getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and more.  But, it’s the discussion about the ownership of her music that really got tongues wagging – chiefly that of her Murder Inc. Records CEO Irv Gotti.

Remy Ma may have only been a guest on the VERZUZ between Ja Rule and Fat Joe, but she certainly made her presence felt.

And now, she’s building on the buzz her appearance created by dropping a brand new song.

Christened ‘Godmother,’ the gritty track finds the femcee firing from all cylinders.

Interestingly, it’s listed as being released via indie imprint EMPIRE – which appears to confirm the rapper’s departure from Sony’s Columbia Records, the major label that she dropped tracks such as ‘Wake Me Up’ and ‘Pretty Brown’ via.
