Embattled R&B legend R. Kelly – already serving a 30-year sentence for sex trafficking and racketeering – may be facing the possibility of spending the rest of his life behind bars due to an ongoing trial for sex crimes against minors, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve a throne.  At least, that’s what veteran singer Tevin Campbell is suggesting.

The ‘Can We Talk’ crooner talked with TMZ recently and gave his two cents on the ongoing debate about who the real King of R&B is – a debate that was incited when Usher took to press recently to announce he felt he deserved the title.

Drama has followed B2K for almost two decades and it’s not letting up anytime soon.

The latest spat between the 00s pin-ups ignited in the wake of Omarion‘s awkward VERZUZ spar with Mario – and the comical response his bandmates gave.

A war of words ensued, which included Omarion branding Lil Fizz, J-Boog, and Raz B as his “background dancers.” Fresh fire erupted when the feuding members were featured in the ‘Ice Box’ singer’s new docu-series, ‘Omega: The Gift and the Curse.’ Allegedly without their permission.

Most recently, B2K appeared on the Drink Champs platform and poured out their take on the group’s latest split and the foundation of their issues with Omarion. Fizz, in particular, lifted the lid on his controversial relationship with O’s ex and baby mother, Apryl Jones.

Now, 37-year-old O is weighing in.

While Keyshia Cole has maintained a presence of sorts by way of reality TV and her Verzuz spar with Ashanti, the volume has been noticeable quiet when it comes to new music.

Indeed, it’s been almost five years since the 2017 release of the songbird’s most recent studio album, ’11:11 Reset.’

However, that all looks set to change. Because the star has revealed that she’s gearing up to hatch fresh material.

Mario may have referred to the Omarion-toplined edition of the ‘Millennium Tour’ as “raggedy sh*t” during their VERZUZ battle in June, but it appears the GRAMMY-nominated singer has had a change of heart as he’s listed as one of the headliners for the forthcoming iternation of the highly anticipated North American jaunt.

Once again led by Bow Wow, the trek calls on some of the early 2000’s most popular Urban movers and shakers to unite for a night of nostalgic hits.

Having previously wowed crowds across the United States with a lineup that’s featured the likes of Ashanti, Pretty Ricky, Lloyd, Bobby V, Ying Yang Twins, Chingy, and more, this time new faces like Hilson and Day26 are being brought into the mix.

For much of the 00s, Nelly and Ashanti served as couple goals.

However, the pair went their separate ways in 2014 after 10 years together.

Having dated during a time before social media laid every facet of a celebrity relationship bare, the performers somehow balanced being open about their union while never actually confirming it.

Recently, the rapper and singer have been more transparent about their split. Indeed, Ashanti revealed that, prior to an impromptu hug on stage at VERZUZ last year, she hadn’t seen her former beau since they called it quits. She added that they hadn’t spoken in the immediate moments after that showing.

Well, it appears there’s been more reconciliation in the period that followed.

Because last night (August 5) in Oakland, Nelly brought out the songbird to perform their hit ‘Body On Me.’

They shared a long embrace after too.

Although he garnered much positive press thanks to his victory lap at a recent VERZUZ showdown against Omarion, some critics believe Mario‘s attempt to capitalize on the hoopla backfired when he announced Tory Lanez as the feature on his new single ‘Main One.’

Reportedly drawn from his forthcoming sixth studio album (the follow-up to 2018’s ‘Dancing Shadows’), the new Mike Crook-produced bop sees its performers trade verses about giving extra special treatment to the main lady in their lives.

“Girl, you can be honest with me/ You don’t gotta be toxic with me,” Mario croons. “You don’t need no other options but me/ ‘Cause you might just be my main one.”

Announcement of the tune’s Friday (July 15) arrival drew quick criticism for the GRAMMY nominee for collaborating with Lanez amid allegations he shot and assaulted popular rapstress Megan Thee Stallion.

The naysayers obviously weren’t enough to stop Mario from moving forward with the unveiling of ‘Main,’ which is available inside for your streaming pleasure.  Hop in to hear it in full.
