After a six month delay due to the Hollywood strikes, the 50th Annual Daytime EMMYs took place over the weekend (December 15 and December 16) at Los Angeles’ Westin Bonaventure Hotel.

Hosted by entertainment news anchors Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner, this year’s festivities were dominated by ‘General Hospital’ which swept up seven awards while ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ took home the two lead actor and actress prizes.

One of the event’s biggest talking points was easily Kelly Clarkson – the GRAMMY-winning diva who, thanks to her eponymous daytime talk show, racked up a whopping six trophies.

Billie Eilish‘s latest hit single, the ‘Barbie‘ soundtrack hit ‘What Was I Made For?,’ may have been released in July and reached its #21 peak on the Hot 100 in August, but it didn’t get its televised performance debut until the December 16 episode of ‘SNL‘ (hosted by Kate McKinnon).

On hand as the night’s musical guest, the GRAMMY and Academy Award-winning songstress rocked the house with a stunning rendition of the Andrew Wyatt-produced tune (which was recently nominated for a Golden Globe) before treating audience members to an equally smoky take on the timeless holiday classic ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.’

A change in career leads to yuletide miracles and mayhem for Javicia Leslie (who portrays “Kate Bennett”) in the forthcoming film ‘The Christmas Detective.’

Part of the 2023 slate of ‘OWN for the Holidays,’ the film tells the story of a woman trying to follow her dreams of becoming a private investigator – a pursuit that puts her moxie to the test after a thief steals a prized painting from a local art gallery and gives her the chance to prove she has what it takes.

Directed by Tobin Addington, ‘Detective’ also stars Brad James, Arnold Pinnock, and Kimberly Huie.

Two months after first introducing fans to their latest duet, ‘Hands On Me,’ award-winning Pop singers Jason Derulo and Meghan Trainor unveil its official music video.

Directed by Daniel Russell, the colorful and comical clip sees Derulo and Trainor go back in time to try out for 2000’s reality show ‘The Simple Life’ (which starred Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton). The latter even makes a cameo in the video.

“Baby, put your hands (hands) on me (on me) / Both hands (hands) on me (on me) / Right now (right now), you’re the only (you’re the only) one I need,” the superstar duo sing on the track that heavily samples Ben E. King classic ‘Stand By Me.’

KeKe Palmer continues to give cuts from her critically acclaimed latest album, ‘Big Boss (Deluxe),’ the video treatment. The latest accompanies fan favorite ‘Assets.’

A 7-minute visual directed by Edgar Esteves, the cinematic clip shows viewers the many sides of the multi-faceted actor-singer through symbols of female empowerment and versatility.

Fans of John Legend woke up Friday morning (December 15) to ‘Don’t Need to Sleep’ – the EGOT winner’s new song featured on the soundtrack of the ‘We Dare to Dream’ documentary.

“I don’t need to sleep to dream, no, I don’t / Bent but not broken / Down but not hopeless / Eyes are wide open, I know it,” he croons on the tune co-written with superstar songwriter/producers Justin Tranter and Oak Felder.
