Ne-Yo has unlocked his eighth studio album ‘Self Explanatory.’

Preceded by singles such as ‘U 2 Luv,’ ‘Stay Down,’ and ‘Don’t Love Me,’ the project serves as the hitmaker’s first traditional LP since 2018’s ‘Good Man.’

And he welcomes a number of notable names on the album with him – including the likes of Yung Bleu, Jeremih, and Trippie Redd.

With over 15 years in the game, Ne-Yo is showing no signs of slowing down.

With his anxiously awaited eighth studio album loading, Ne-Yo recently ramped up anticipation for the forthcoming set by giving fans another taste of the gems set to line its tracklist.

Gifting the video treatment to the new song ‘Don’t Love Me,’ the singer-songwriter tapped TV stars Tyler Lepley and Serayah to bring the tune’s heartbreaking lyrics to life via a cinematic black-and-white music video that seems to be inspired by 2020’s ‘Malcolm & Marie’ (John David Washington & Zendaya).

As the love interests struggle with their unhappy home, Ne-Yo narrates in the background – a dynamic he explains in detail via the official behind the scenes look at the making of the visual.

Ne-Yo may have recently nabbed headlines for landing multiple acting gigs for films set to drop in 2022, but apparently the role he’s most excited about is ‘husband.’

Two years after it was announced the singer-songwriter (born Shaffer Smith) was set to divorce from his wife Crystal, the lovebirds revealed a set of stunning photos to commemorate their re-marriage.

Winner of multiple GRAMMY Awards and countless other accolades, the performer has firmly established his name and music in the history books.

Now, as he continues along his path, the star’s excitement about  R&B extends beyond his own work to the new names making a splash in the genre.

With Aaliyah‘s iconic catalog finally on streaming services, attention is turning to new material from the late, great performer.

As reported, the freshly relaunched Blackground Records 2.0 set out its plans to release an album of unheard songs from the star. Its title was touted as ‘Unstoppable’

Now, the label’s head (and Aaliyah’s uncle) Barry Hankerson is opening up about the project and revealed that it’s coming sooner than folk may think.

After joining forces to top music charts with hits like ‘Knock You Down,’ singers Keri Hilson and NE-YO reunited in an attempt to reign over TV ratings charts with their VH1 Christmas film, ‘Hip-Hop Family Christmas.’

Toplining a star-studded affair that featured MC Lyte, Terrence J, Serayah, Red Man, and more, Hilson and NE-YO (born Shaffer Smith) portrayed a newly-engaged couple who are looking to help soften the image of their fictional Rap royal family as the dysfunctional group prepares for a live Christmas television special.

‘Breaking Point’ beauty Keri Hilson is asking fans at their breaking point of waiting for new music to hold out just a little longer.

The GRAMMY-nominated songstress, who recently celebrated her 39th birthday (December 5), has been hot on the promo trail in support of her fifth film of 2021 – VH1’s ‘Hip Hop Family Christmas’ (also starring NE-YO, Terrence J, Redman, and many more).

When quizzed about her musical endeavors, Hilson confirmed she’s in the studio working on the follow-up to 2010’s ‘No Boys Allowed,’  but hesitated to reveal a tentative release date.

Leona Lewis has unwrapped the new edition of her revered holiday album, ‘Christmas, With Love.

Re-released as ‘Christmas, With Love Always,’ the set features all of the tracks on the 2013 incarnation of the project – alongside two new songs.

The first, a collaboration with Ne-Yo named ‘Kiss Me It’s Christmas’ arrived earlier this month and is now joined by ‘If I Can’t Have You.’

Lewis’s take on the Bee Gees classic fuses the familiar with the songbird’s trademark vocal acrobatics.

A star-studded tribute to those who have served the stars & stripes, ‘Side By Side: A Celebration of Service’ brought celebrities together with military and health care heroes for Memorial Day they’d always remember (May 31).

Hosted by veteran TV actor and television personality Alfonso Ribeiro, the benefit concert and television event – which shined with performances from Katy Perry, Ne-Yo, and Gavin DeGraw – also raised money for Northwell Health’s Military Liaison Services Program.
