Despite having another Billboard 200 #1 in his sights with new album ‘Wonder’ (as we reported here), Shawn Mendes is set to claim the victory with the lowest first week sales of his career.

To potentially turn the tide on that outcome, the 3x GRAMMY nominee is continuing his promotional promenade in the project’s support.

The latest pit stop came via a visit to ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’ Monday (December 7) where Mendes dished at length about the LP, his relationship with superstar girlfriend Camila Cabello, and even performed album cut, ‘Dreams.’

Shawn Mendes’ fourth studio album ‘Wonder’ – kicked off by its title track and the Justin Bieber-assisted follow-up, ‘Monster’ – is certainly scaring off the competition, a feat industry analysts are sure will lead to a victory lap on next week’s Billboard 200.

Released December 4, ‘Wonder’ marvels as one of the season’s most highly anticipated Pop projects as it comes as the long-awaited follow-up to Mendes’ 2018 self-titled project.  Like the latter LP, ‘Wonder’ is headed to chart battle with two Hot 100 top 20 hits to its credit.

Miley Cyrus may have topped the Billboard Rock charts with her seventh studio album, ‘Plastic Hearts’ (as we reported here), but it appears she’s looking to see that success mirrored on the Billboard 200.

Chloe x Halle keep the consistent flow of content a’coming – this time via a Tiny Desk Home Concert.

The singing sisters have kept the pedal to the metal all-year in support of their sophomore album ‘Ungodly Hour.’

Critically-acclaimed, the set has seen the Parkwood pair nominated for two GRAMMYs at the forthcoming 2021 ceremony.

With their buzz intensifying by the day, this showing – which included performances of bops such as ‘Do It’ and the LP’s title track – more than justifies why.

It took an influx of holiday music to dim the Hot 100 shine of ‘Blinding Lights’The Weeknd‘s colossal ‘After Hours’ hit.

As we reported here, the Max Martin-produced cut was written in Billboard history books two weeks ago for becoming the longest-running top 10 hit in history when it logged 40 weeks in the tally’s topmost dectet.

Although it managed to hang on for yet another rung in the 7 days that followed, the refreshed Hot 100 shows ‘Blinding Lights’ has been booted from the chart region in what would’ve been its 42nd week.  Landing at #11, the drop marks the first time the song’s been outside of the top 10 since it first arrived there in February 2020.
