It’s a bittersweet week for fans of ‘Scandal’.

This Thursday sees the ABC hit wrap its third season – which, while promising an exciting climax, spells a six month plus hiatus until the popular show returns for an anticipated fourth outing.

So as to ensure the Shonda Rhimes smash goes out with a bang, Khandi Alexander stopped by The Queen Latifah Show today to discuss her role as Maya Pope, or as the show’s millions of viewers have dubbed her – Mama Pope.

As Rihanna continues work on her forthcoming studio set, Lady GaGa continued to promote her own this week when she stopped by KTU 103.5 FM to push the Pop piece, ‘ARTPOP.’

While there, the Beyonce collaborator found herself quizzed on a number of hot topics currently surrounding her brand.

Put to her tactfully, the show’s hosts “went there” by asking her about her ‘Born this Way Foundation’, currently under fire for its alleged mishandling of funds, as well asking her to explain the meaning behind her brand new single ‘G.U.Y.’

For, after watching her debut album reach unexpected heights in the UK, the Eastern belle is currently hard at work on her sophomore set- set to dwarf its predecessor on all fronts.

Miley Cyrus launches her official foray into Pop-Urban today with the premiere of new single ‘We Can’t Stop’.

Produced by hard-hitting heavyweight Mike Will (Rihanna’s ‘Pour It Up’), the cut is a marked departure from the former Hannah Montana star’s squeaky-clean Pop past. And while it’s yet to be seen how the masses react to the 20-year-old’s reincarnation, a  who’s who of Urban music have lined up to work on ‘Stop’s parent album – including Pharrell Williams and Hit-Boy.

With Brit-Pop fans in mourning over the split of Girls Aloud, the group’s lead and only singer Nadine Coyle has spoken up and out about their disbanding.
