Several months may separate Lady GaGa‘s monsters from the release of ‘ARTPOP’, yet that hasn’t stopped the singer from ramping up buzz for the hotly anticipated album.

Thus far, the star has drip-fed fans with information surrounding the “experience” that the project is shaping up to be. And with this being a “forumla” that has worked, the 26 year old is sticking to it, taking to her Little Monsters platform to share more morsels of info this week.

It’s lyrics like these Cyndi Lauper may have been addressing, when she billed modern music ‘too sexual’ during an interview with ‘The Metro‘ recently.

Revealing that she shares her fans sentiment that much of today’s music is aggressive ‘Rape music’, the ‘She Bop’ belle had this to say on the matter:

“One young woman walked up to me recently at a concert and thanked me for my work ‘in the midst of all this rape music. I never thought of it like that, but so much music nowadays is about sex, sex, sex and is quite aggressive.

She called it rape music.I thought, ‘Oh my God, I guess she’s right’.

I just try to write music that connects with people’s conscience and make music for awake people rather than sleepwalkers”

So, considering ‘imagery’ endorsed by the likes of Marky Mark, Madonna and Adinah Howard in the 90s compared to outings by the likes of Chris Brown, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj today, we ask this:

As one of Pop’s fastest rising stars, it’s safe to say we’re yet to see Rita Ora looking any less refined off camera than she is on.

For yesterday, the star was unknowingly snapped out and about in NYC dressed in what we’d call a ‘forward thinking’ get up, following her stellar set at the city’s ‘Good Morning America’.

Gwen Stefani’s new project, the November 15-released ‘Bouquet‘ – may be en route to becoming her first solo studio album to miss the Billboard 200’s top 10 upon its arrival, but that hasn’t stopped the Pop icon from forging ahead in its promotion.

Having engaged in a media blitz that’s seen her tackle Web, print, radio, and TV in its support, her latest set of bids in the latter realm came courtesy of not one but TWO visits to NBC staples.

On the LP’s release date Stefani rocked ‘TODAY‘ with a live performance of the set’s single ‘Swallow My Tears‘ – a stirring showing only matched by the passion brought to ‘The Tonight Show‘ on Monday (November 18) when she gave the album’s title track its first televised performance.

Christina Aguilera sprung a surprise on Sabrina Carpenter and the sold-out crowd at the Los Angeles stop of the Short n’ Sweet Tour last night (November 15).

Hitting the stage at the Crypto.com arena, Xtina left jaws ajar – including Carpenter’s – when she hit the opening note of her smash ‘Ain’t No Other Man.’

Thereafter, she and the ‘Espresso’ singer caused a delightful stir with an impromptu rendition of Aguilera’s ‘Back to Basics’ anthem.

The showing comes after Carpenter joined the veteran on the 25th anniversary live edition of ‘What A Girl Wants.’
