John Legend‘s latest album, ‘Bigger Love,’ may not have entered the Billboard 200 with his biggest first week sales (as we reported here), but that certainly is not the result of a lack of effort on his part.

The EGOT-winner has spent much of 2020 hitting the (virtual) promo trail in its support – nabbing features on high profile television shows, magazines, and more.

Despite seeing the LP’s accompanying tour postponed due to the current global health crisis (click here to read more), Legend’s still finding ways to bring the set’s content to the masses. His latest endeavor came in conjunction with NPR as he headlined their newest Tiny Desk Concert.

EMMY-nominated actress Letitia Wright leads the cast of ‘Mangrove,’ a forthcoming episode of Amazon Prime’s ‘Small Axe’ (an anthology series from Steve McQueen).

Telling the true story of the Mangrove Nine (a group of Black activists who clashed with London police during a protest march in 1970), the event spurred a highly publicized trial that was later christened the “first judicial acknowledgment of behavior motivated by racial hatred within the Metropolitan Police. “

Before pouring out ‘Red Sangria’ recently, fans of ‘American Idol’ alum Jordin Sparks had been wondering where she’s been keeping new music bottled up.

Sure, there’s been the occasional standalone single and even a 2019 joint EP with singer-songwriter Elijah Blake (‘1990 Forever’), but by-and-large the GRAMMY nominee’s been pretty quiet since the 2015 release of her junior album, ‘Right Here Right Now.’

That changed last month when she unleashed tunes ‘Unknown’ (click here to listen) and ‘Sangria,’ with the latter recently getting the video treatment.

Much like her ‘WAP’ co-star Cardi B (as we reported here), Megan Thee Stallion went live on social media ahead of the arrival of the tune’s accompanying music video to ramp up excitement.

While on the platform, she fielded fan questions – some of which (as expected) veered toward the topic of her health as she recuperates from surgery after suffering bullet wounds to her feet.  Reliving the horrific incident, Stallion (born Megan Pete) recalled the emotional aftermath:

“I feel like this is a thing that I see every single day and I see so many women, and I see so many men talking shit about this,” said Meg. “I felt, like, really crazy. I felt like, why did I get shot? Like, what did I do? It was insane. The shit was crazy and I feel like some people think that it’s funny and some people think that it’s a joke, and I feel like some people are saying it to get to me.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, she reflected on the lack of support from her closest friends:

“It’s not fun, b*tch,” she stated. “I don’t understand. I just felt very betrayed by a friend. I felt very betrayed by all my friends. I felt very shocked, very scared.”

That’s not all she said. Look inside for more:
