August Alsina blindsided fans with the announcement his long-awaited third album, ‘The Product III: StateofEmergency,’ would arrive on digital shelves June 26.

Packed with a whopping 27 tracks, awareness raised for the effort (which included 5 of its tracks released in the week preceding its release) was overshadowed by reports of his one-time affair with Jada Pinkett-Smith.  As such, the minimally-promoted project peaked at #48 on the Billboard 200 with his lowest first-week sales to date.

A state of emergency indeed, peruse of the updated edition of the chart sees the LP nowhere in sight.

Britney Spears fans, affectionately called the #BritneyArmy, came ready for war against proponents of the singer’s ongoing conservatorship plan.

As has been widely reported, Wednesday (July 22) marked the date the diva’s case would be reopened for review before the court.  Due to the global health crisis, she reportedly attended virtually via video conference. Her supporters, on the other hand, opted to take the live approach despite the public being barred from the courthouse.

Setting up shop in front of L.A.’s Stanley Mosk Courthouse, dozens of sign-wielding protests gathered to demand Spears be released from a court-ordered conservatorship that’s controlled everything from her personal life to her finances, medical care, and more for the last 12 years.

As celebrities continue their outpouring of support for GRAMMY-nominated singer-actress-TV personality Tamar Braxton in light of her recently reported emotional health crisis (click here to read more), some have expressed disappointment in stars of Braxton’s former daytime talk show home, ‘The Real,’ for keeping silent.

Despite her reported fall out with Tamar, Adrienne Bailon Houghton – tired of the ongoing criticism – took to her official YouTube show, ‘All Things Adrienne,’ to make an official statement Tuesday (July 21).

Answering fan questions live in a special segment titled, ‘Ask Adrienne,’ the former 3LW frontwoman revealed:

“I also think it’s important to know that real life is so much important than social media,” she stated. “For me, I hold myself to a higher standard in real life than I do on social media. I absolutely want to encourage people to pray for [Tamar], but in real life that’s what I’m doing…I absolutely believe that we should be praying for her, but not praying for her on social media posts.”

That’s not all she said. Look inside for more:
