Freshly unwrapped, the 13-track set follows 2018 debut ‘The Kids Are Alright.’

Just a day after reports surfaced Beyoncé was in the process of closing a historic $100 million deal to partner with Disney on future productions (click here to read more), rumors swirled the ‘Kitty Kat’ performer would curate the soundtrack to the sequel of ‘Black Panther’ (due in theaters May 6, 2022).

Somehow, that rumor elevated to whispers she was set to portray beloved ‘X-men’ character Storm – which set off a firestorm of mixed responses of longtime followers of the Marvel franchise.

Among the disappointed, one particular detractor took to Change.org to ignite a petition to ensure the ‘Pink Panther’ star kept her award-winning hands off the next installment of ‘Black Panther.’

After multiple push backs, Tekashi 6ix9ine finally unveils ‘Trollz’ – the highly anticipated follow-up to his first post-prison release single, ‘Gooba.’

Much like its predecessor, ‘Trollz’ is the center of controversy – this time pointed at his co-star, Minaj, from many who disapprove of 6ix9ine’s rap sheet (which includes snitching, sexual misconduct with a minor, cultural appropriation, and more).

Nevertheless, having already hit #3 on the Hot 100 with their past hit ‘Fefe,’ the New York-based duo are looking to hit a higher rung on the tally with their “charity single” reunion.

In March, organizers of the annual Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival announced the event – originally set for April in Indio, California – would be pushed to October due to the coronavirus pandemic (as we reported here).

Now, just a day after another of the year’s most anticipated fests, Lollapalooza, pulled the plug on its 2020 edition, Coachella is following suit.

Netflix continues its bid to shine light on diverse voices as evidenced by the forthcoming film, ‘Disclosure.’

Executive produced by and featuring EMMY-winning actress Laverne Cox, the documentary is designed to honor and track the history of visibility of trans characters and storytelling in media.

“I think, for a very long time, the ways in which trans people have been represented on screen have suggested that we’re not real, have suggested that we’re mentally ill, that we don’t exist,” Cox says in the documentary. “And yet here I am, yet here we are, and we’ve always been here.”

Less than two months after announcing its postponement due to the coronavirus pandemic (as we reported here), Celine Dion is finding the courage to hit the road again on her hotly-selling world tour.

Having already completed most of the jaunt’s North American leg at the time of shutdown, Dion’s shifting her focus to Europe before completing the remainder of her U.S. and Canadian shows.

As we reported here, Ne-Yo was among the featured performers billed to tribute George Floyd at his memorial hosted in Houston, TX (June 8).

On hand to sing Boyz II Men‘s ‘It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye,’ the GRAMMY-winner made headlines for breaking down at multiple junctures during the heartfelt showing.  But, while many have applauded the singer-songwriter (born Shaffer Smith) for his attempts to maintain his composure, others are criticizing the speech he rendered before launching into the song.

Prefacing his performance with a statement alluding to Floyd’s death at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer as being a ‘sacrifice’ for a greater cause, the comments were met with fury.

So much so, Smith took to social media to clarify.
