‘Walk It Out’ diva Jennifer Hudson continues to prove she walks the walk and talks the talk during the ongoing global health crisis, using her voice to raise awareness for research in the fight against COVID-19.

Having already dropped jaws with her awe-inspiring performance with Global Citizens recently, Hudson was recently tapped by Salesforce – an industry leader in cloud-based software and technology – to perform for their livestreamed panel, #LeadingThroughChange.

Also featuring appearances from the likes of CNN’s Van Jones and more, the virtual event saw the GRAMMY and Academy Award winner crank out tunes ‘We Gon’ Fight,’ a stirring rendition of late Soul icon Bill Withers‘Lean on Me,’ and more.

With his run atop the Hot 100 abruptly interrupted by Travis Scott & Kid Cudi‘s hit, ‘The Scotts’ (as we reported here), The Weeknd is looking to push his latest chart-topper, ‘Blinding Lights,’ in reverse to #1 again.

To do so, the GRAMMY winner (born Abel Tesfaye) unleashed the song’s remix video.

Featuring and edited by electronica band Chromatics, the clip doesn’t stray from Tesfaye’s nightlife loving, trouble-seeking persona this era – a theme present in every video lifted in support of his latest album, ‘After Hours.’

For the culture!

Thanks to the songs ‘Savage’ and ‘Say So,’ rapstresses Megan The Stallion and Doja Cat were already celebrating their respective inaugural Hot 100 top 5 hits.

However, after Beyoncé hopped on the former’s, the J. White Did It-produced number blasted to the top of Apple Music and iTunes (where it’s remained since its premiere).  Cat made waves as well when, just a day later, she unveiled the highly anticipated remix to her Dr. Luke-crafted cut featured Nicki Minaj.

Now the tunes are locked in a tight battle for #1 on next week’s Hot 100.

“Slow and steady wins the race” – an adage affirmed by the enduring commercial performance of Camila Cabello‘s sophomore album, ‘Romance.’

While not exactly on the receiving end of the out-of-the-box success of its self-titled forerunner, the project – which bowed at #3 upon its debut – has maintained some level of buoyancy on Billboard charts thanks to streams and the radio airplay of its latest single, ‘My Oh My’ (featuring DaBaby).

Much like that tune took over 3 months to crack the top 20 (as we reported here), its parent album has taken the scenic route to Platinum certification.  Nevertheless, it got there this week.

Despite its promising #36 debut on the Hot 100 last week, Sam Smith and Demi Lovato‘s ‘I’m Ready’ has already slipped outside the top 60 in week 2.

And, while the GRAMMY winner has confirmed its unlikely the tune (much like its ‘Dancing with a Stranger’ and ‘How Do You Sleep?’ predecessors) will be included on the final tracklist for their yet-titled third studio album (as we reported here), that hasn’t stopped the promo push for it.

The latest effort comes via a behind-the-scenes peek at its Olympics-inspired music video.  Directed by Swanson and Kay Vermeil, look inside to see all the action:

Two weeks after delivering the social distancing anthem, ’50ft’ (as we reported here), former Fifth Harmony hitmaker Lauren Jauregui is giving the moody tune the live treatment courtesy of her VEVO showcase.

Having already given its predecessor, ‘Lento,’ similar handling on the same platform (as we reported here), now the second installment of the set has made its way to the Web.

The beef between Khia and Trina rages on!

Years after the self-proclaimed Queen of the South slammed the Diamond Princess for allegedly not crediting her for the 2000 hit, ‘Da Baddest B*tch,’  the femcees continue to swap insults on the Web – much to the delight of their fans.

Earlier this week, Khia took to social media to formally challenge Trina to a ‘hit-for-hit’ VERZUZ battle – a virtual phenomenon that sees some of music’s most prized performers showcase their greatest hits.  When quizzed during a recent interview on if she’d accept the offer to compete, T exploded in a fiery rant that saw her label the ‘My Neck, My Back’ beauty a ‘bum.’

Ouch! Watch her go ALL THE WAY off inside:

At 61-years-old, Queen of Pop Madonna is seeing conversations around her health top more headlines than chart hits.

Citing knee and joint pains as the reason many dates on her recent ‘Madame X’ world tour were axed, the diva finally closed the curtain on the jaunt permanently as public safety fears rose about the spread of coronavirus (as we reported here).

Two months later, that very topic is pushing Madge’s name to headlines again – this time with reports she’d contracted the disease.

‘Two Can Play that Game’ star Vivica A. Fox was playing approximately NO games when recently quizzed about her longtime feud with ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ star Kenya Moore.

Taking to Claudia Jordan‘s FOX SOUL talk show (on the episode airing May 5), Fox joined an all-star panel featuring actress LisaRaye and GRAMMY-nominated singer Syleena Johnson to discuss stigmas attached to African American women related to emotional trauma, forgiveness, and more.

The “come to Jesus” moment (as it was branded) was going well until Jordan quizzed Vivica on if she would ever apply her thoughts on reconciliation and healing to her tattered relationship with the former Miss USA.

Her stinging response awaits inside:

It’s good to know JoJo‘s fourth studio album – released May 1 – is winning with fans and critics.

Lauded for its sonic fusion of Pop & R&B while also conceptually seeing the 29-year-old tackle some of her most mature subject matter to date, the project – which boasts only Tory Lanez and 30 Roc as guest stars – has also been praised for putting the powerhouse vocalist front-and-center with its scant feature list.

However, the good news may stop there for ‘Good to Know’ – the GRAMMY winner’s first effort under her Clover Music imprint (in partnership with Warner Records).

As industry analysts have updated their post predictions for next week, Jo’s LP- as of time reported – eyes the lowest first week sales and Billboard 200 chart positioning of her career.
