The pervasiveness of racism has been spotlighted once again in Minnesota.

For, just days after the shocking death of George Floyd at the hands of a white police official ignited discourse about the Black experience in the US, another shocking clip has gone viral.

In jaw-dropping scenes, Tom Austin, the managing partner of F2, is filmed telling Black men that he would call police on them.

His reason? He didn’t believe they they had access to the business building they were in.

This despite being told several times by the young entrepreneurs that they too occupied the space as tenants for their social media company – Team Top Figure.

As of time reported, no arrests have been made in the case of the death of George Floyd – an unarmed Black man in Minneapolis who died after a local police officer handcuffed him then pinned his knee onto the man’s neck (restricting his ability to breath).

Although officers were quickly terminated from the precinct (as we reported here), protests erupted in the ‘Twin City’ as the County Attorney Mike Freeman has not officially announced intent to arrest or charge them.

That very fact led the city’s mayor, Jacob Frey, to hold a press conference and pressure Freeman to detain the four.

Much like we reported here, ‘Star Wars’ star John Boyega is among celebrities who are expressing outrage over the videotaped death of an unarmed Black man (George Floyd) by Minneapolis police.

However, his comments have incited fury among the law officers’ supporters.

Taking to social media recently, the 28-year-old tweeted he “f*cking hates racists” – a stance he was not willing to debate.

“This just burns,” he later tweeted alongside a photo of Floyd. “Seems to be a never ending cycle. The murderers need to be charged severely. Even in the face of death this man was given zero empathy.”

His comments lit up Twitter and Instagram, leading him to upload a video dragging defenders of the Minneapolis policemen who committed the crime.

As we reported here in November, Gabrielle Union was unexpectedly fired from her judge role on season 14 of NBC’s hit reality talent show, ‘America’s Got Talent’ – move that led the actress to express concerns about the show’s ‘toxic work culture’ to the network’s Human Resources department.

After NBC initially responded to Union’s claims with a statement that praised the series’ long history of “inclusivity and diversity,” the official investigation – made public this month as we reported here – found her claims to have no merit.

The investigation’s findings came ahead of the ‘Being Mary Jane’ star’s first publicized interview about her time on the show, featured on the most recent edition of ‘Variety.’

As predicted here, Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande‘s hit single ‘Stuck With U’ may have set a milestone for 2020 by becoming the first song of the year to amass 100,000 units in one-week pure sales, but those figures – largely padded by bundling and other strategic methods – were not available to assist with its second week’s tracking.

As a result, the tune – which lists their manager Scooter Braun as a co-writer – made history with its consequent slide out of the top 10 on the refreshed Hot 100.
