Megan Thee Stallion was one-fourth of one of the most heated races for the Billboard Hot 100’s summit last week as her Beyoncé-assisted hit, ‘Savage,’ challenged Doja Cat and Nicki Minaj‘s ‘Say So’ remix for the title.

As revealed yesterday, Stallion and co. claimed the runner-up spot – bested by the ‘Say So’ duo (who benefited from single bundling as well as a surge in sales, streaming, and Pop radio airplay).

However, the second place landing is by no means a loss.

In addition making history for being part of the first time two female rappers occupied the top two spots, ‘Savage’ was also awarded Meg’s highest tenancy on the Hot 100 thanks to 42.1 million U.S. streams, 50,000 digital downloads, and 51.3 million impressions on radio.

As she celebrates that win, look inside to see who joins her in the top 25 on this week’s ‘TGJ Chart Check’:

‘Snatch the Cat Back’ beauty Khia is clapping back at Trina for going on Miami radio station, 99 Jamz, to deny the Thug Misses’ invitation to engage in a hit-for-hit battle on the ‘VERZUZ’ platform.

Referring to the ‘My Neck, My Back’ star as a ‘bum’ (as we reported here), Trina‘s fiery rant awakened an even worse response from Khia who recently took to her official YouTube channel to respond.

28 weeks after its premiere, Dua Lipa‘s ‘Don’t Start Now’ – the biggest hit of her career – remains a fixture in the Hot 100’s top 10.

While its Disco-inspired parent album, ‘Future Nostalgia,’ can’t exactly boast the same as it slipped to #16 on this week’s Billboard 200 less than 2 months after its release, Lipa and team plan to remedy that by repackaging the set for re-release via a deluxe edition.

With its most highly anticipated addition coming in the form of a duet with Normani, Dua dropped by BRAVO’s ‘Watch What Happens Live’ Monday (May 11) to tease their joint effort and give fans a hint at when they should expect it to drop.

‘Good to Know’ – the fourth studio album from JoJo – went to chart battle May 1 on the hems of its critically acclaimed singles, ‘Man’ and ‘Lonely Hearts,’ as well as a slew of preceding buzz tracks (i.e. ‘Joanna,’ ‘Sabotage,’).

A return to form of sorts as the effort houses some of her most R&B leaning tracks since her 2004 debut, the project was not only lauded for containing its expected exquisite vocal displays but also her most mature content to date.

The first release on her own imprint, Clover Music (in partnership with Warner), the set’s promotional plan – at one time accented with a North American tour – was negatively impacted by the current global health crisis.  Reflected in its first week sales, ‘Good to Know’ (as predicted here) was accompanied by the singer’s lowest to date.

Nene Leakes served a big spoon of shade on ‘The Breakfast Club’ this morning and dropped it on the plates of her Real Housewives Of Atlanta adversaries. Namely Kenya Moore, Kandi Burruss, and Eva Marcille.

Appearing days after the broadcast of part 1 of the season 12 reunion, Leakes fired from all cylinders.

Chatting it up with Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, and Angela Yee, the RHOA original continued to sink her claws into her foes – lashing everything from finances, to skin, to their supposed desire to snatch her “spot.”

She also seized the moment to clap-back at drug accusations and a whole lot more.
