The Weeknd may have lost his grip on the Hot 100’s pole position (as we reported here), but he doesn’t look too keen to do the same on the Billboard 200 side of the fence.

Proof of this comes courtesy of his promotional push of remixes of ‘After Hours’ biggest hits, namely ‘Blinding Lights’ (recently revamped with Major Lazer as we reported here) and now a new video for his previously-released version of ‘Heartless’ featuring Lil Uzi Vert.

Keeping consistent with the era’s theme of a nightlife-craving, mustached maniac, the new ‘Heartless’ visual rotates between live action and animated sequences while seeing its main character continue his pursuit of the high life and heartbreak.

Has Justin Timberlake been “uncancelled” by Pop Princess Britney Spears? If her recent social media post is to judge by, it would seem so.

Though common for her to take to Instagram to show off her latest dance moves, the diva’s fans – affectionately called the #BritneyArmy – were stunned to see her flexing those two-steps and hair whips to the tune of her ex-boyfriend’s 2018 hit, ‘Filthy’ on Wednesday (April 15).

Add to this, the clip was uploaded alongside a caption that praised his musical prowess.  More inside:

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has explained how policies designed to harm black and brown communities are playing into the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The elected official caught up with the ladies of ‘The View’ hours ago to explain why redlining, environmental racism and the intentional underfunding of African-American neighbourhoods are to blame for the turmoil the disease is creating in these innocent communities.

With his hit, ‘Toosie Slide,’ Canadian rapper Drake became the second artist in history to debut a single atop the Hot 100 three times over his career – an accomplishment only ‘Queen of Billboard’ Mariah Carey could boast at the time.  Later, Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande were able to as well (click here to read more).

Granted, the feat of nabbing multiple openings at the tally’s summit is ultra rare, but many will be surprised to know – even in the current era of streaming – how infrequently any act has premiered a song at the hitlist’s peak position at any point in his or her career. In fact, among the 1,120 #1 hits in Hot 100 history (which dates to Aug. 4, 1958), only 51 of them debuted at the top.

To celebrate Drizzy’s addition to the growing index, That Grape Juice thought it a great time time to salute the hitmakers who broke the ground before and after him.

Drake slid right back into the Hot 100 history books thanks to his seventh chart-topper, ‘Toosie Slide.’

The OZ-produced cut, named in honor of the social media influencer who helped it go viral on Tik Tok, exploded on other social networking outlets as well after its April 3 release.

Debuting at #1 on the refreshed Hot 100 (as we reported here) thanks to a handsome mix of digital downloads (25,000), radio airplay (34.6 million impressions), and streams (55.5 million), the song’s entry saw him claim the record for becoming the first male act to nab three #1 debuts over his career (second act overall to Mariah Carey).

That wasn’t the only historic feat, however. Look inside to see what other stake ‘Toosie’ claimed on this week’s ‘TGJ Chart Check.’

Keyshia Cole may have disregarded rapper O.T. Genasis‘ vile insults about her hygiene (click here to read), but her sister, Neffeteria Pugh, apparently has plenty of time for the shenanigans.

Just a day after taking to Instagram to insinuate he was gay by branding the ‘Cut It’ star a ‘messy bottom’ (click here to read more), Pugh reignited her attacks after he indicated he’d sold drugs to her mother – reality TV star/recovering addict Frankie Lons.

The back-and-forth bickering between the two reached levels of pure savagery.  Look below if you missed any of the updated action:

Britney Spears may be on a musical hiatus for reasons that are well-documented, but the Pop titan remains all sorts of active on social media.

The ‘Baby One More Time’ belter is oft showered with praise from her loyal army of fans, but – like most – still comes under scrutiny from some corners.

Clapping back at the critique, she gave a salute to Beyonce in the process.
