K. Michelle gets all sorts of candid on new single ‘Just Like Jay.’

Lifted from forthcoming album ‘All Monsters Are Human’ (due Friday), the track sees the R&B songstress wax honest about the critique levelled her way and asks frankly “maybe I should fade to black…just like Jay.”

Directed by Zachary Greaton, the clip follows the visual for ‘The Rain’ – which has racked up 11 million views and performed well on the Urban Adult Contemporary format.

Could this be K’s next touchdown?

‘Music to be Murdered By’ has proven itself an apt title for Eminem‘s latest effort, released January 17th.

In addition to killing the competition on the Billboard 200 with a history-making open at #1 (as we reported here), some of the content housed on the project are making dents on the Hot 100.  Placing 12 of the LP’s 20 tracks on this week’s updated version of the chart, the most notable entry comes courtesy of album cut ‘Godzilla’ (which features late Rap star Juice WRLD).

Billboard reports:

“Eminem’s “Godzilla,” featuring Juice WRLD, soars in at No. 3 on the Hot 100. The collaboration also arrives at No. 3 on both Streaming Songs (41.1 million U.S. streams) and Digital Song Sales (24,000 sold).

Eminem earns his 22nd Hot 100 top 10, marking the 16th-highest total in the chart’s archives and the eighth-highest among solo males.”

As we extend our congrats to the Grammy winner, look inside to see who joins him in the top 25 on this week’s edition of ‘TGJ Chart Check.’

Fans of ‘Blink’ singer Meghan Trainor probably did just that and missed reports of the multiple singles (official and buzz) the Grammy winner’s released in the last few months in support of her forthcoming album, ‘Treat Myself’ (due January 31), as only one of them has charted on the Hot 100 (as of time of this report).

In a bid to ensure the next offering from the project doesn’t suffer the same fate, Trainor’s tapped serial hitmaker Nicki Minaj to assist.  Minaj – who announced her retirement in late 2019 (click here to read more) – is one of many guest stars slated to line the ‘All About That Bass’ singer’s new LP and joins the likes of Pussycat Dolls, AJ Mitchell, Sasha Sloan, and many more.

Ahead of the release of the Harajuku Barbie-enlisted single, the 26-year-old took to Instagram to announce the union by teasing a snippet.

Valentine’s Day is around the corner and will be bringing with it ‘The Photograph’ – starring Issa Rae and LaKeith Stanfield.

The movie unpacks a multi-layered love story, one which centers on forgiveness and finding the courage to seek the truth, regardless of where it leads.

It takes its title from a mysterious photograph Mae Morton (played by Rae) finds in her deceased mother’s belongings. That discovery uniquely aligns her path with rising journalist Michael Block (Stanfield) and ignites quite the narrative.

Before its February 14th release, check out the extended trailer for the film (which Rae is co-producing with Will Packer) after the jump…
