Valentine’s Day is around the corner and will be bringing with it ‘The Photograph’ – starring Issa Rae and LaKeith Stanfield.
The movie unpacks a multi-layered love story, one which centers on forgiveness and finding the courage to seek the truth, regardless of where it leads.
It takes its title from a mysterious photograph Mae Morton (played by Rae) finds in her deceased mother’s belongings. That discovery uniquely aligns her path with rising journalist Michael Block (Stanfield) and ignites quite the narrative.

Eminem made fans drop jaws and open wallets when he sprung his surprise LP, ‘Music to be Murdered By,’ on the masses January 17th.
Coming as his 11th studio album, the 20-track set followed 2018’s ‘Kamikaze’ and was quickly showered with praise from fans and critics alike. Going to chart battle with Pop sensation Halsey, late rapper Mac Miller, and a number of other highly anticipated releases, industry analysts predicted ‘Music’ would not only sell over 300,000 its first week but would also easily outpace the competition in the race to the top of the Billboard 200 (as we reported here).
Now with its inaugural tracking week in its rear view, it’s been unveiled just how many units Em’s effort shifted. Look inside to see:
H.E.R. fans may still be crying foul because the 22-year-old walked away empty-handed after this Sunday’s Grammy Awards (January 26), but she’s pressing forward with new music.
Using the televised platform to unveil her new song ‘Sometimes’ via live performance (click here to watch), she quickly followed with an upload of the tune’s studio version to her official Youtube handle.
“Sometimes shit don’t go your way / And sometimes you gon’ have those days / And sometimes you’ll feel out of place / You can’t promise me it’ll be the same / ‘Cause sometimes change,” she sings on the inspirational track.

It appears not even the combined forces of Ariana Grande, Lizzo, Billie Eilish, and Camila Cabello would be enough to save this year’s Grammys from failing to attract viewers.
Indeed, after preliminary ratings reports indicated a low tune-in for the Alicia Keys-hosted affair, today’s official and final figures confirm the previously suspected: folks were simply not here for Grammys 2020.
Garnering its lowest total viewership figure ever, tuck in below to see exactly how many tuned in:
Nearly 4 years since controversial rapper/singer M.I.A. dropped her “fifth and final” album ‘AIM’ (click here to listen), the 44-year-old – born Mathangi Arulpragasam – is coming out of retirement, much to the surprise of fans.
Taking to Instagram to make the announcement (January 28), Arulpragasam not only let fans know she was hard-at-work on new music after the death of her father last month, but also that they’d be getting a taste of it a lot sooner than they expected.

Despite failing to raise her comeback cut, ‘Raising Hell,’ or any of its promotional follow-up tunes to a charting position on the Billboard Hot 100, Kesha has shown no signs of slowing down the releases in support of her forthcoming fourth studio album, ‘High Road.’
Ahead of its January 31 debut, the Grammy nominee’s unveiled a bop of a toast to night life via new single, ‘Tonight.’ Sonically reminiscent of the EDM bangers that brought the Pop diva to chart prominence in the early 2010s, ‘Tonight’ is easily the catchiest offering the 32-year-old’s served in quite some time.
Will it be enough to drum up buzz for ‘High Road,’ though? Listen inside and tell us:
