Rihanna and Chris Brown have quite the history, one that’s well-documented.

Since their latest split in 2012, the pair have maintained a notable silence about the other.

However, that somewhat changed today when RiRi publicly gave a nod to her former flame.

Well, during an interview at We Can Survive concert, the 22-year-old opened up about what exactly is at play.

Nearly two months after introducing his latest single to the masses, the Lil Uzi Vert-assisted ‘Pose,’ rapper Yo Gotti‘s called on a little help from Megan Thee Stallion to help the song ride to the top of charts.

Adding her set of fiery bars to the SoundsByBreezy, Ben Billions, & JulianBeatz-produced cut, Stallion can be heard on the track saying:

“Hate me? So what? F*ck these hoes, ayy / I need this p*ssy on his nose, ayy / Spread it, I spread it, I pose, uh / Need a hundred racks for a show, huh,” Meg spit. “They showin’ pics to their doctor, ayy / They say that ‘Megan is goals,’ ahh / He want me to hit him first, hmm / That’ll happen when he in a hearse, hey.”

A reunion of sorts as she and Gotti have swapped bars previously on the remix to Khalid‘s ‘Talk,’ look inside to see if they still have the chemistry that made listeners fall in love with that Billboard Hot 100 top 10 hit:

Is ‘Truth Hurts’ star Lizzo learning that very lesson thanks to a number of accusers coming forward to claim elements of the song were swiped from their respective work with no permission?

On Tuesday (October 15), producer Justin Raisen (best known for his work with Charli XCX, Yves Tumor, Sky Ferreira, Kim Gordon, and more) took to assert he deserved at least partial credit for the song’s famous lyric, “I just took a DNA test turns I’m 100% that b*tch.”  Even going on to offer video proof that Lizzo (born Melissa Jefferson) was not the originator of the line, Jefferson later clapped back via her rep/attorney, Cynthia S. Arato, who stated:

“They [Raisen and his brother] did not collaborate with Lizzo or anyone else to create this song, and they did not help write any of the material that they now seek profit from, which is why they expressly renounced any claim to the work, in writing, months ago.”

The Raisen allegation was the second, but certainly not the last, time the burgeoning diva was slammed with accusations of copyright infringement.  More inside:

As we reported here, the Grammy winning singer-songwriter previewed new music at the opening of a queer club intended to pay “homage to what could have been of the 1980s’ NYC club scene if (HIV prevention drugs) had been invented in that era.”  With fans assuming his new music would be dropping in the next few weeks, Ocean pulled a fast one and unveiled it just moments ago via his radio show.

The last year has seen Kash Doll added to the list of ‘must-hear female rappers’ thanks to her previous efforts ‘Brat Mail’ and ‘The Vault.’  The critical acclaim from those projects not only led to award nominations and increased calls for collaborations, but it also catalyzed anticipation for her first LP.

The wait for that ended on October 18 when the 27-year-old unveiled her first studio album, ‘Stacked.’

Preceded by the release of singles ‘Ready Set,’ ‘Kitten,’ and ‘Mobb’n,’ the set’s title is apt to say the least as it’s stacked with banging production and high profile features from the likes of Big Sean, Lil Wayne, Trey Songz, Summer Walker, Teyana Taylor, and more.
