Leave it to Cher, a GRAMMY, EMMY, and OSCAR-winning Pop icon whose career spans 7 decades, to still find uncharted territory to conquer.

Not even a month after surprising fans with news she was unwrapping her first holiday album, simply titled ‘Christmas,’ she’s already taken the bow off of its first single – ‘DJ Play a Christmas Song.’

“DJ, play a Christmas song / I wanna be dancing all night long / It’s cold outside, but it’s warm in here / And that’s the only thing I want this year,” she croons on the Mark Taylor-produced cut.

Unveiled Friday (October 6), the yuletide dance track was preceded with news of its parent album’s full tracklist (which features heavy hitters like Stevie Wonder, Michael Buble, Tyga, Cyndi Lauper, and more).

Welcome, once again, to TGJ Replay.

Designed much like our ‘Retro Rewind’ and ‘From the Vault’ features, ‘Replay’ is That Grape Juice‘s newest retrospective segment – a written quest, if you will, to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday.

Unlike its ‘Rewind’ and ‘Vault’ predecessors, ‘Replay’ looks to dust off and showcase entire albums (and eras) from a library of pop and Urban pop music hits.

This week you’re in luck as we toast the 40th anniversary of ‘Lucky Star‘ – the inaugural Hot 100 top 5 hit of Queen of Pop Madonna‘s career lifted from her self-titled debut album.

“It’s too late for roses, they’ll die in a day / You can’t put a Band-Aid on the way that we’re breakin’ / It’s too late for diamonds, they all come with chains / So don’t waste your money on it, we can’t be saved,” she sings on the chorus of the Jesse Shatkin-produced cut.

Isabel Wilkerson‘s best-selling book, ‘Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents,’ is getting the movie treatment thanks to EMMY Award-winning director Ava DuVernay.

Transforming the narrative into a personal story reflective of the author’s experiences, the film – titled ‘Origin‘ – was also written and produced by DuVernay and stars EMMY and Academy Award nominee Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor as Wilkerson, a researcher exploring the caste systems in America, Nazi Germany, and India to find that all are “linked.”

The forthcoming film also boasts big names like Jon Bernthal, Niecy Nash-Betts, Blair Underwood, Finn Wittrock, Jasmine Cephas-Jones, Vera Farmiga, Audra McDonald, Nick Offerman, and Connie Nielsen among its star-sudded cast.

Beyonce reaffirmed her Queen status with the release of her chart-topping seventh studio album, ‘Renaissance.’

Home to chart-topper ‘Break My Soul’ and global smash ‘Cuff It,’ the GRAMMY-winning project served as one of the best-selling and most critically acclaimed offerings of the last year.

However, despite being the pioneering “visual album” format for her era, the superstar has been surprised by pressing forward with the project – and its history-making tour – sans a visual component.

The mystery has been the subject of much discourse among fans.

Now, a new report appears to shed light on what has been happening behind the scenes.

In life, Baynard Rustin was one of the most prolific activists of all time. And now his story is being immortalized in new movie ‘Rustin.’

Set to premiere this November on Netflix, the movie chronicles the unwavering spirit possessed by Baynard, who is played by Emmy winner Colman Domingo.

Unapologetic about who he was, Rustin never wavered on his beliefs or who he loved. A reality that saw him make history while (in many ways) being eradicated from it too.

Until now.

Directed by five-time Tony Award winner George C. Wolfe, ‘Rustin’ will celebrate the story of a man who dared to imagine a different world and inspired a movement in a march toward freedom alongside the likes of Martin Luther King Jr.

Executive produced by Barack Obama and Michelle Obama (under their Higher Ground umbrella), and Tonia Davis, the film features an all-star cast including Chris Rock, Glynn Turman, Aml Ameen, Gus Halper, CCH Pounder, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Johnny Ramey, Michael Potts, Jeffrey Wright and Audra McDonald.

Billy Porter has long been candid and direct with his feelings.

Case in point, his less-than-endorsing response to Harry Styles snagging a Vogue cover while wearing a dress.

The Emmy Award-winning ‘Pose’ star has long demonstrated a penchant for pushing the boundaries of gender expression – from his red-carpet looks to his music to his acting roles (such as ‘Cinderella,’ in which he starred as the Fairy Godmother).

Shortly after Styles’ issue hit newsstands, Porter was quizzed on his take and didn’t hold back about his disapproval.

Now, he’s been asked again, and – true to form – he was not bridled.

After ample teasing (see: hilarious Jamie Lee Curtis-led spoof of James Brown‘s iconic 1988 interview), Hip-Hop husband-wife duo Offset and Cardi B unleash their latest collaboration – ‘Jealousy.’

Turning their real-life marital drama into art, the pair trade verses about the haters trying to tear down their relationship.

“Look, ain’t no b-tch finna front on me / Bad body b-tch with the jumbo teeth / Yellow Lamborghini like a bumblbee / Girl, nobody listen to you ‘less you talking ’bout me,” Cardi raps on the bop – making several inferences to her legal beef with popular vlogger Tasha K.

Believed to be the latest taste of new music set to board Offset’s highly anticipated sophomore solo album ‘Blame It On Set’ – the follow-up to 2019’s critically acclaimed ‘Father of 4‘ – hop inside to get acquainted with ‘Jealousy’ and its official video (starring Academy and EMMY Award-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson).
