New parents Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reconvened their royal duties after welcoming son Archie.

And the much-loved couple are being sure to have the youngster close by.

Currently on a royal trip to South Africa, the pair took their 4-month old with them – in the process giving the world the first full glimpse of newest monarch.

Part of the trek saw the family visit Bishop Desmond Tutu, who blessed their baby.

September 27 marks the long-awaited premiere of ‘Judy,’ the Renée Zellweger–led biographical drama depicting the life of one of music history’s most beloved, yet troubled characters:  Judy Garland.

Alongside the high anticipation for the acting performances that line the film are equally high expectations for its musical contributions and remakes of Great American standards on which Garland rose to fame.  To whet appetites ahead of the movie’s arrival in theaters, the latest taste of its soundtrack offerings comes courtesy the Sam Smith-assisted, ‘Get Happy.’

Grammy-winning songstress Michelle Williams (born Tenitra M. Williams) has had enough!

The Destiny’s Child diva has been on the receiving end of vicious criticism since the 71st Primetime Emmys aired Sunday night (September 22) for an impassioned speech delivered about gender and race equality in the entertainment industry.  The problem?  She didn’t even attend the ceremony!

Instead, it was acclaimed actress Michelle Williams who – despite being a television and film veteran of 20+ years – was on hand to receive her very first Emmy.  Her plea for better wages for actresses may have garnered applause from most, but there were certainly a sect who disagreed and took to Twitter in droves to share their disapproval.

The only problem was they continuously tagged the wrong Williams so many times she took to the platform to clap back.  Hear her response below:

Don’t call it a flop!

After weeks of ample teasing, September 13 saw ‘Don’t Call Me Angel’ – the lead single from the Ariana Grande-curated soundtrack of the 2019 ‘Charlie’s Angels’ reboot – take flight on digital and streaming platforms.  Aided by a high octane, Hannah Lux Davis-directed music video, the song soared to the top of iTunes sales charts just hours after its premiere (a success that was mirrored on Spotify charts as well).

By the end of its inaugural tracking week, Billboard reported:

“The song starts at No. 2 on the Digital Song Sales chart, with 26,000 downloads sold, and No. 11 on Streaming Songs, with 26.3 million U.S. streams, in the week ending Sept. 19, according to Nielsen Music. It also drew 7.5 million airplay audience impressions in the week ending Sept. 22…”

The handsome combo of streaming, digital downloads, and radio airplay helped lift the tune to a #13 debut.  A promising start, look inside to see who joins the trio in the top 25 on this week’s edition of the TGJ Chart Check:

With her solo profile soaring, Normani is working the promo trail for viral hit ‘Motivation.’

Her latest stop was the Zach Sang radio show, where she gave great talk.

The candid, music-skewed sit-down saw the 23-year-old dish on her hotly anticipated  album debut (which she confirmed is now due in 2020), touring with Ariana Grande, and carving out her own presence in the Pop cultural landscape.

When speaking on the the latter, she  was quizzed about being compared to some of her idols – namely Beyonce.
