‘Sleep’ – a mid-tempo jam – certainly awakened conversation around the performer getting into the groove and showing off his best two-step in its accompanying music video (dance moves his previous efforts haven’t showcased to this extent).  With an impressive #29 debut on this week’s Billboard Hot 100, Smith is looking to keep the conversation going with hopes of scoring his next top 20 hit.

‘Only God Knows Why’ singer Kid Rock has us humming the tune and scratching our heads at why he’s recently taken to Twitter to slam Taylor Swift for aligning herself with the values of the Democratic Party.

The ‘You Need To Calm Down’ singer – who has been very vocal as of late about her support of the LGBTQ+ community – doubled down on the sentiment in her recent appearance in ‘Vogue’ magazine (click here to read).  Her comments – accompanied by updates on her new album ‘Lover’ and role in the forthcoming film ‘Cats’ –  must’ve struck a nerve with Rock (born Robert James Ritchie) as he took to Twitter to say:

Needless to say, the vile statement sent the songstress’s fan base – affectionately called #Swifties – into a frenzy.  Their stance was supported by Swift’s celebrity friends. Details inside:

Lady Gaga‘s chart-topping ‘Shallow’ may currently hold the record as the most awarded song in music history (click here to read), but if a relatively unknown singer-songwriter has his way the courts will be awarding him millions of dollars in damages for copyright infringement.

The ‘Star is Born’ soundtrack song is the center of a pending lawsuit from singer Steve Ronsen who claims Gaga and team ripped off his 2012 Soundcloud opus.  While not specifically disclosing the amount he is seeking in damages for the alleged infraction, his legal representative, Mark D. Shirian, confirms it will be in the ‘millions’ if this case goes to court.

Determined not to go down without a fight, Gaga’s secured the services of high powered attorney Orin Snyder to help her give a judge (or mediator) a million reasons why ‘Shallow’ is an original. Details inside:

Taking to social media, the burgeoning diva stated:

Needless to say, the “shade grenade” set off a firestorm of comments in defense of the emcees.  Once the fire got too hot, Lizzo deleted the original message and later attempted to clarify her statements.  Read it all inside:
