Pressure from human rights activists may have fueled the decision by Nicki Minaj to walk away from a reported 7-figure sum to perform at Saudi Arabia’s ‘Jeddah World Fest’ (as we reported here), but the same can’t be said for the likes of 50 Cent, Future, Chris Brown, and Pop royal Janet Jackson as the four are among the big stars readying show-stopping performances at the festival.

It’s been nearly a week since Jermaine Dupri rocked headlines for his assertion that ‘female rappers are just rapping strippers’ commentary (click here to read more), yet the Rap mogul is still enduring backlash from the statement.

Once his “observation” landed on the desk of stripper-turned-Rap star Cardi B, the femcee clapped back by explaining that female rappers who do not load their lyrics with sexual references tend not to sell as well as those who do.  Her response only highlighted why Dupri’s statement was so problematic, a feat that’s led So So Def founder to explain how his words were taken out of context.

Taking to our friends at TMZ, JD was sure to remind viewers he is ‘not a sexist’ and that his statement was misrepresented as an opinion on all female Rap in general:

Pop stageblazer Jennifer Lopez has seen her name atop many-a-wishlist for the Super Bowl Halftime Show headlining slot for years and – after two missteps in the form of Justin Timberlake and Maroon 5 respectively – fans of the songstress just may get their wish granted for next year.

Lopez, whose noted past relationship with Pepsi (the show’s sponsor) makes her a shoo in for the coveted spot, is also reportedly gearing up to release a new album by the year’s end.  As supporters continue to keep their fingers crossed for the timing tie-in, the 49-year-old took to ‘ET’ recently to discuss the possibility of bringing her hits to the Halftime Show stage when it hits Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium in February 2020.

As if that wasn’t enough to excite viewers, she also dished on the highly publicized New York black out that shut down her Madison Square Garden show over the weekend (click here to read more), her hit ‘It’s My Party’ tour, and so much more.  Hear it all inside:

Danity Kane star Aubrey O’Day may be rocking headlines for her surprising statements about exes Donald Trump Jr. and Pauly D on the season 3 premiere of MTV’s ‘Ex on the Beach’ (July 16), but she’s also dropped jaws for slamming that very network for the poor ratings of its current shows and for not involving Danity Kane, Day 26, or Donnie Klang in the recently announced reboot of ‘Making the Band’ (click here to read).

Taking to our friends at ‘The Blast,’ O’Day didn’t mince words when quizzed on her feelings on the rap mogul.  Pinpointing him as the main reason the Platinum-selling group broke up in the first place (and went from a quintet to a trio), the 35-year-old asserted that including all five ladies on the reboot would give him the chance to right the wrong of their mistreatment from over a decade ago.

Shots fired! Hear her stinging words inside:
