Madonna is one of music’s most successful live titans, hence many assumed her penchant for selling out arenas would naturally mature into a stadium run.

For, she’s storming into theaters with an intimate show unlike anything she’s done before.

As if “Grammy winner,” “multiplatinum-selling artist,” “singer,” “songwriter,” and “producer” aren’t enough titles for Pop singer Justin Timberlake and rapstress Missy Elliott, now the two have added “doctor” to that list.

Honored by Berklee College of Music’s commencement on Saturday (May 11) at Boston’s Agganis Arena for their respective achievements and contributions to the art, the honor comes as a historic feat for Elliott who is now the first Hip-Hop artist to receive this honor from the prestigious academic institution. Add to this, Missy is also set to become the only female Hip-Hop artist to ever be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame next month (click here to read more).

Much like its predecessors ‘Medellin’ and ‘I Rise,’ the Swae Lee-assisted ‘Crave’ – the latest release from Queen of Pop Madonna‘s June 14-due album, ‘Madame X’ – hasn’t exactly received a royal welcome from music lovers.

Released May 10, the tune is currently sitting outside the iTunes Top 100.

In an effort to ensure its fate doesn’t mirror that of the project’s first two singles, Madge has taken to social media to tease the cut’s forthcoming music video.  A simple, yet slick black-and-white affair, the press release that accompanied the song’s unveiling was sure to emphasize the visual is due in full “very soon.”

With only a few weeks to go before their big return, what better time than the present to salute the legacy of the Spice Girls with a more than fitting tune.

In honor of Mother’s Day, we pay homage with the heartfelt ‘Mama’ by one of the world’s most renown bands.

Unleashed alongside disco number ‘Who Do You Think You Are’  in 1997 as a double A-side, ‘Mama’ and its companion were serviced as the final offerings from the group’s record-breaking debut ‘Spice.’ And just like their predecessors, the release went straight to #1 on the UK chart.

The set was their fourth consecutive effort to reach the summit of the coveted count; more broadly, it peaked at #3 on the European Hot 100 and peaked at #13 in Australia.

Written by the Girls alongside Matt Rowe and Richard Stannard, the melodic number celebrates how becoming an adult helped the ladies have a whole new perspective on  motherly love. The concept of the track was born when Mel B was experiencing a “bad phase” with her mother.

The song’s accompanying visual came courtesy of duo BigTV, and saw the five components of Spice singing to not only an audience of children but also their very own mothers.

Later this month, the Spice Girls will pick up exactly where they left off over a decade ago. We can only hope that, like their catalogue, the squad haven’t lost their viva.

In the here and now, we take this opportunity to wish a Happy Mother’s Day to all!
