As we reported here years ago, Gladys Knight made it well known that Destiny’s Child alum Kelly Rowland was her top choice for portrayal of her legendary life in a biopic.

And, while that wish was (to a degree) honored when the ‘Motivation’ singer was picked to play the ‘Empress of Soul’ in BET’s forthcoming, ‘Soul Train’-inspired television series – ‘American Soul’ – it certainly gives the 37-year-old the chance to show off her acting chops in case the full length biographical film ever develops.

Fresh from trumpeting news of new music, Danity Kane took to the stage at the 2019 GayVN Awards to show and prove why they’ve still got “it” in abundance.

Performing twice, the group – now a trio comprised of Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, and Shannon Bex – delivered dazzling showings of hit singles ‘Damaged’ and ‘Showstopper.’

Prior to this offering, the current incarnation of DK have been thrilling audiences on the on-going ‘Universe Is Undefeated Tour.’

Cardi B is securing all of the bags – and the latest comes courtesy of Pepsi.

As reported, the drinks giant has teamed with the femcee for their coveted Super Bowl commercial. A partnership which sees Belcalis join the likes of Michael Jackson, Madonna, Britney Spears, and Beyonce on the list of the brand’s high-profile endorsers.

Scandal rocked the Reggaeton arena this week when portions of an “intimate video” of Ozuna – one of its leading stars – hit the net.

Complicating the story the more were growing rumors that (prior to the vid’s release) the ‘Taki Taki’ performer had been at the center of an extortion attempt – given that two other men are said to appear in the same video. Take from that what you will.

In any case, the name of a local queer rapper, Kevin Fret, was attached the extortion story. As such, when he was mysteriously murdered this month, the snowball of hearsay became too big to ignore.

Addressing the matter head-on, Ozuna is speaking up and out…

Initially due last Saturday, the visual was delayed without explanation and left the singer seething at her label on social media.

With the drama in rearview, the star re-affixes the focus on the popular track – which is lifted from sophomore album ‘K.T.S.E.’

A homage to New York’s famed ballroom scene, Taylor turns all the way up with a fitting salute.
