Already marred by accusations of empty seats and emptier performances, Rihanna‘s ‘ANTI Tour’ was another devastating blow moments ago.

‘Cheers’ singer Rihanna has yet another accomplishment to toast to this week.

For, as if working up a 4th week at #1 on the Hot 100 and seeing select dates from her much talked about ‘Anti’ tour reach sold out status wasn’t enough, now she’s learned she’s returned to the top of the Billboard 200 as well.

Collecting its second non-consecutive week atop the tally, the project – which has consistently been in the top 5 since its debut (barring its #27 premiere) – moved right on past competitors Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar, and more to regain ownership of the #1 title.  Narrowly beating Adele‘s ’25’ for the prize, Rih’s second #1 album (8th overall) continues to prove the naysayers wrong with its staying power and is her first album to nab more than one week at the top.

Tuck in below to see how many units the Bajan beauty moved:

Fifth Harmony‘s brand new cut ‘Work From Home’ is doing just that on the British charts.

Released to support the Urban Pop group’s second studio set, the single (which features the rapper Ty Dolla $ign) has impacted the Official Singles Chart‘s Top Five…without physical promotion from the ladies in the competitive market.

The sizzling number sits at #4 thanks to its heavily-rotated visual (inspired by Ciara’s ‘Work’?) pushed it 11 spots away from the #15 position it held last week, and arrived there after the ladies learned that their music has spent 12 weeks in the U.K’s Top Ten.

They aren’t the only noteworthy artists on the tally this week. For, despite dropping two places, Rihanna’s ‘Work‘ holds its Top Five spot following the launch of her new world tour.

The single, which features the rapper Drake, was released to push her new LP ‘ANTI‘ which is expected to move just over 9,000 units in the U.S. this week.

madonna thatgrapejuice rebel heart

Queen of Pop Madonna proved a long time ago her reign was far from limited to pop charts.

Currently holding the record for the most successful tour ever by a solo act (see:  2008’s whopping $408 million-generating ‘Sticky and Sweet Tour’), the songstress is now making more noise in touring history books thanks to her current outing ‘The Rebel Heart Tour’ (christened after her 13th album of the same name).

And, while the ‘Living For Love’-led project is the worst-selling of her career, its supportive tour is singing a much different tune.

Another day, another Rihanna Hot 100 record it seems (see full recap here).

The Grammy winning singer, with 14 Hot 100 #1 hits, already boasts the most Hot 100 chart-toppers of her generation.  But, as the ongoing success of her her latest hit ‘Work’ (featuring Drake) suggests, Rih, at the ripe age of 28, may be well on her way to owning boasting rights to “most #1s in history among females.”

She may just be 5 chart-toppers away from laying claim to that title, currently owned by Mariah Carey (18), but today Billboard revealed the Bajan beauty can already celebrate snatching another title from her ‘Hero’ singing musical hero.

india arie thatgrapejuice nina simone biopic

Since the announcement of Zoe Saldana assuming the role of Nina Simone in the legendary singer’s unauthorized biopic, the actress has been fielding slam after slam for donning blackface to make her portrayal true to character.  And, while film critics and fellow entertainers continue to speak out on the hot topic, there’s one detractor who has long taken personal issue with the casting – ‘Brown Skin’ beauty India.Arie.

After taking to the net in 2012 to pen an open letter damning the film for its “parody” of Simone’s story, the songstress recently visited our friends at TheHollywoodReporter to continue her less-than-complimentary weigh in on the film (click here to see its trailer).

Asserting the film ‘propagates institutional racism,’ is ‘tone deaf,’ and even made Simone look ‘ugly,’ tuck in below to read these thoughts and more from Arie:

…and the claws are out!

In what appears to be another episode of “Somebody Pissed in Elton John‘s Cereal,” the piano-tickling legend wasn’t exactly in a laughing mood when quizzed on his thoughts on one of music’s most celebrated stageblazers – Janet Jackson.

Slamming the songstress with claims of lip-syncing, similar to those he hurled at her fellow pop queen Madonna years ago, John went all the way in and off on Jackson in his recent sit down with Rolling Stone magazine.

The reports already have JanFans in a furor, many of whom have taken to Twitter to speak out against the ever-outspoken ‘Tiny Dancer’ divo.  Did you miss any of the action?  It awaits below:

beyonce-thatgrapejuice police boycott

Just when it seemed ‘Single Ladies’ singer Beyonce would be left alone to find (and fund) security efforts for her forthcoming ‘Formation’ stadium tour, a few US cities are standing up for the Grammy winner, vowing to provide detail when the trek visits their respective locations.

While Tampa, FL was first to make headlines when their police department took to Twitter to slam rumors of their intent to boycott, it appears Raleigh, NC and Arlington, TX are now in agreement with the decision.  They join a number of police officials – especially black police unions – who are calling out boycotters for discriminatory behavior.
