Keke Palmer is silencing the critics by setting the record straight about her ‘Good Morning America’ talk show ‘Strahan, Sara, & Keke.’

Taking to Instagram over the weekend (July 18), the 26-year-old singer-actress addressed murmurs the recently canceled show got the axe due to her highly publicized involvement with the Black Lives Matter movement.

Having made headlines the world over for her impassioned speeches at a number of rallies supporting the cause (as well as written op-eds), diehard fans began to draw connections between the timing of said headlines and the surfacing of reports the series would not be renewed for another season.

Thanks to its ascent to #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 two weeks ago, ‘What’s Poppin?’ stands as the highest charting song to date of its creators Jack Harlow and Tory Lanez respectively.

In an effort to get it to the tally’s summit, however, the duo are calling on some high profile friends for a star-studded remix.
