The self-proclaimed Puerto Rican princess has a few words for the self-proclaimed Queen of Rap!
Despite failing to detail what the true catalyst was, Joseline Hernandez (rapstress/reality TV show star) took to Instagram earlier today to lay a royal read on fellow rapstress Nicki Minaj. First making headlines for agreeing with an Azealia Banks slam that suggest Minaj was a copycat, Hernandez took things a step further when she directly called the Grammy-nominated Young Money star out for an implied betrayal.
Using a number of not-so-family-friendly adjectives, look inside to see what else the ‘Love & Hip Hop’ star had to say about our girl:
Just over a year-and-a-half after embattled songstress Kim Burrell lost several endorsements and was shunned by both gospel and secular communities for comments deemed “homophobic” during a sermon (click here to read), fellow gospel singer Kierra Sheard may be well en route to such fate.
The 31-year-old, famous for rendering nearly 15 years of her own gospel hits and being the daughter of Clark Sisters‘ legend Karen Clark Sheard, recently rubbed fans the wrong way when she suggested homosexuality was the direct result of “victimization” (i.e. molestation, etc.). Needless to say, the assertion did not go very well. As fans, followers, and more have been taking her to task on social media all day, the blaze has only grown higher as the story makes its rounds.

Readers of That Grape Juice know what avid music lovers we are – especially of hits past.
So, just as our retrospective features ‘From the Vault’ and ‘TGJ Replay’ allow us the chance to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday of one artist, our newest feature Chart Rewind – a variation of our current Retro Rewind assay – accedes salutes to an entire era of music history.
This week we’re looking back to Letoya Luckett‘s official debut solo single, ‘Torn.’ The lead offering from her self-titled debut album (click here to read our full length ode to the project), the Teddy Bishop-produced tune – which famously samples The Stylistics’ 70’s classic ‘You Are Everything’ (also found aboard Mary J. Blige‘s 1997 hit ‘Everything’) – came as quite the sleeper hit for Luckett. Easily the underdog after watching the likes of her former Destiny’s Child bandmates rise to varying levels of Billboard 200 and Hot 100 success, the cut – released in March 2006 – eventually found itself in mention with their releases by summer 2006.
Making its way to a #31 peak this week that year, ‘Torn’s true crowning glory was its success on the R&B charts (rocketing to a peak of #2 there). Both chart achievements remain Luckett’s career bests (to date).

Her Nicki Minaj-assisted single, ‘The Light is Coming,’ may be off to an uncharacteristically slow start (finally cracking the Hot 100 this week at #95), but ‘No Tears Left to Cry’ – the inaugural offering from Ariana Grande‘s forthcoming fourth studio effort, ‘Sweetener’ – continues to enjoy sweet success.
After making a record-setting debut on the main singles chart in April (click here to read more on that), the Max Martin-produced cut went on to remain a mainstay in the tally’s top 10. Now, with a handsome mix of streams, digital downloads, and radio airplay to its credit, ‘Cry’ has become her latest release to cross the platinum threshold.
As if that’s not enough to celebrate, the song rocketed back into the top 10 this week after a brief hiatus. Look inside to see who joined her in this week’s TGJ Chart Check: Hot 100:

Fans of ‘Twice’ singer Christina Aguilera probably had to look twice when checking for her latest album, ‘Liberation,’ on this week’s refreshed Billboard 200.
The set, her first studio album launched without a top 40 single preceding it, hit stores June 15th and made a respectable top 10 debut on last week’s chart (click here to read more). With slowed promo in the days that followed its premiere (as she’s preparing for the ‘Liberation’ tour in its support) as well as an onslaught of new releases to compete with, the combined circumstances led to LP’s expected drop on the Billboard 200.
What was unexpected, however, was just how far that drop would be. Look inside to see where she landed and see who occupies the top 25 on this week’s TGJ Chart Check: Billboard 200:
If the numbers are anything to go by it appears fans of STARZ’ flagship series, ‘Power,’ couldn’t wait to get their eyes and ears on the latest happenings of Ghost, Tommy, Tasha, and the gang.
Kicking off its long-awaited season 5 on Sunday (July 1), the show – though greeted by an audience smaller than its season 4 launch – still managed to top the night’s cable ratings among scripted series.
