At this point, the terms ‘Drake‘ and ‘Billboard history’ are so frequently acquainted the pairing hardly ever comes as a surprise.  That’s certainly the case for the 32-year-old’s most recent achievement on the tally.

Now, in addition to having more career Hot 100 placements than any other solo act ever, he’s seen his name penciled in history books beside The Beatles for ‘second most top 10 hits’ in history thanks to the debut of ‘No Guidance’ –  his duet with fellow hitmaker Chris Brown.  Billboard reports:

Chris Brown’s “No Guidance,” featuring Drake, launches at No. 9 on the Hot 100. The collab begins at No. 4 on Streaming Songs with 28 million streams and No. 9 on Digital Song Sales with 15,000 sold.

The premiere gave Drake the 34th top 10 hit of his career, a move that not only ties him with the music legends but places him second only to Queen of Pop Madonna (who currently reigns with 38).  As we extend our congratz to Drizzy, look inside to see who joins he and Breezy in the top 25 on this week’s TGJ Chart Check:  Hot 100:

The BET Awards 2019 are set to air live from the Microsoft Theater at L.A Live on Sunday June 23rd.

As always, all eyes are on who’ll be up for nominations at Urban entertainment’s biggest calendar night.

Well, wonder no more. For, the nominees list has been revealed. Cardi B definitely has a cause for celebration after leading the pack with seven noms. Beyonce, Drake, Ciara, and the late Nipsey Hussle are amongst the stars who also scooped notable noms.

Ella Mai is building on her momentum with the video release for new single ‘Shot Clock.’

The visual arrives as the Londoner struts towards the 61st Grammy Awards, where she’s nominated two honors.

Directed by Colin Tilley, this clip serves as the third from Mai’s self titled album debut, which spurned mega-smash ‘Boo’d Up’ – which is up for Song of the Year at music’s biggest calendar night.

It’s time to hop aboard the Soul Train!

BET presents the 2018 Soul Train Awards next month, so what better way to incite excitement than to reveal the official list of nominations?!

Two years after its release, Bruno Mars’ ’24k Magic’ project is still all sorts of popping thanks to hits such as ‘Finesse (ft. Cardi B)’ and a mammoth tour – which is still on-going.

Elsewhere, H.E.R has emerged as one of R&B’s definitive new break-out stars.

It’s fitting then that the pair lead with the most amount of nominations – both nabbing six.

Other names on the nominee list include icons such as Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, and Beyonce, as well as emerging stars ala Ella Mai and Daniel Caesar.

‘No Drama’ singer Tinashe is quashing longstanding rumors that behind the scenes label drama was to blame for the serial delay of her long-awaited sophomore album, ‘Joyride.’

The project, initially launched on the back of the Chris Brown-assisted tune ‘Player’ (released in fall 2015), has been teased so long due to nonperforming kickoff singles many – including diehard fans – were under the impression it’d been shelved.

Yet, while last week’s release of new single ‘No Drama’ (featuring Migos star Offset) helped quell those murmurs, for now at least, the stageblazer is speaking out with word the album is “finished” and finally ready for launch.  Taking to Beats 1 Radio, tuck in to hear Tinashe dish on the delay:

K. Michelle is ready to serve her next musical meal.

The R&B belle has been diligently working on her new album ‘The People I Used To Know’ and has thus far served up a taste in form of ‘Birthday’ and the Chris Brown assisted  ‘Either Way.’
