After igniting excitement with the announcement of ninth studio album ‘Glory,’ superstar Britney Spears has premiered new song ‘Private Show.’

The cut, which is marked departure from her Pop-ier mainstay, was released as an instant-grat track for anyone who pre-ordered her LP.

Folk were given an early taste of the production when it was previewed during a commercial for the singer’s fragrance of the same name.

By 2012, 15-time Grammy winner Alicia Keys began seeing her once hot sales streak cool.

The ‘Girl On Fire’ – whose first three albums consecutively topped the Billboard 200 and her fourth, ‘The Element of Freedom,’ delivered fair numbers in comparison – was no longer burning up the charts in means fans had become accustomed to.  In fact, some 12 years after her commercially and critically acclaimed debut ‘Songs in A Minor’ (2000), the ivory tickling diva didn’t exactly find much to laugh about when her fifth album, ‘Fire,’ crashed and burned after making a #1 debut to the first week sum of 159,000 – almost a third of what ‘Freedom’s first week declared just three years prior

Taking a period to cool off to focus on philanthropy and family (see:  giving birth to her second child in late 2014), the singer/songwriter continued to tease new music throughout the downtime – even promising fans something they “wouldn’t expect.”

That promise was finally manifested in May 2016 thanks to ‘In Common’…

Twitter is still alight with roasting Rich Homie Quan after his less-than-stellar rendition of Notorious B.I.G.’s verse from Junior M.A.F.I.A.’s ‘Get Money’ with Lil’ Kim at VH1’s ‘Hip Hop Honors’ (see the performances here).

Originally some thought he was opting out of the song’s more provocative lyrics for the sake of TV, but further review proved homeboy just flubbed majorly.  After a serious backlash ensued (and is still ongoing), RHQ took to Instagram to offer an apology and his take on what happened.

‘Work’ duo Rihanna and Drake have put in some major work in 2016 to overcome the historic chart records of King of Pop Michael Jackson.

Once thought insurmountable, the rumored on again/off again couple – through their respective projects ‘Anti’ and ‘Views’ – are jointly leaving the pop icon’s Billboard stats in their review.

Indeed, after Rih surpassed the singer’s historic 13 #1’s on the Billboard Hot 100 with her last run atop the tally, now Drizzy – with his monster hit ‘One Dance’ (7 consecutive weeks at #1, 8 overall) – is one week shy of laying claim to one of Jackson’s most unimaginable records.

Music lovers who’d written off Grammy winning stageblazer Ciara after the unforgiving dismissal of her third and fourth albums, ‘Fantasy Ride’ and ‘Basic Instinct’ respectively, were in for a rude awakening when her self-titled project dropped in 2013.

A return to prominence of sorts for the dancing diva, the album waltzed its way to a top 5 debut on the Billboard 200 courtesy of the modern-day slow jam ‘Body Party’ and other supporting cuts.  The truest test of her commercial relevance in the day’s music market, however, would be passed if the reignited momentum could carry on to its follow-up.  The answer to the challenge would arrive in a somewhat unlikely single choice:  ‘I Bet.’

Perceived as a clear clapback to her highly publicized relationship woes with former fiance/rapper Future, ‘I Bet’ was greeted with mixed reviews as some praised the singer for the tune’s brazen content while others expressed disappointment over its dated sound.  A slow, but steady climb up the Billboard Hot 100 (thanks to promotional appearances and radio play) would prove ‘I Bet’ a sure bet – a “winner” in some contexts given the unfavorable treatment “pure R&B” tracks were receiving on the pop charts in 2015.

However, that relative “win” would not be enough to launch the song’s parent album, ‘Jackie,’ to the heights of any of its predecessors:

Kelly Rowland‘s girl group officially have a name.

As covered in earnest here on That Grape Juice, the solo Grammy winner teamed with Frank Gatson to piece together the new collective on BET series ‘Chasing Destiny.’

The well-received show followed the ladies journey – from their audition, to their selection, and the honing process.

When the first season of ‘Chasing’ wrapped early this month, the five-piece were without a name.

Fast forward to today and not only have they been christened, they have a new single too.

Alicia Keys is hoping to heat up the summer with the release of her sixth studio album.

The campaign kicked off with the debut of buzz cut ‘In Common,’ which received rave reviews – but didn’t scale the charts as perhaps hoped.

Still, having attended a recent showcase staged by the singer we know she has a number of ace cards up her sleeve. One of which is the haunting ‘Hallelujah.’

Select promotional spots, such as SNL, have seen her perform the track. However, she springs a Friday surprise with the premiere of the studio version.

As reported, Rihanna and Calvin Harris are gearing up to unleash the video for their global hit ‘This Is What You Came For’ tomorrow.

The Pop club banger has proven a streaming force, a trait which has seen it hit #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #2 on the UK’s Official Singles Chart.

With its accompanying visual nigh, all involved will no doubt be hoping the track can scale even higher.
