Set for release on June 30th, the movie tells one side of the Tupac story with help from the writers Jeremy Haft and Danny Gonzalez and will introduce Shipp to the millions expected to fly into theatres to catch it when it drops.

‘Eyez’ tells the true and untold story of prolific rapper, actor, poet and activist Tupac Shakur. The film follows Shakur from his early days in New York City to his evolution into being one of the world’s most recognized and influential voices before his untimely death at the age of 25. Against all odds, Shakur’s raw talent, powerful lyrics and revolutionary mind-set propelled him into becoming a cultural icon whose legacy continues to grow long after his passing.

Wendy Williams’ permeation of Pop culture often goes unnoticed by those who only met her via her widely successful talkshow.

With this in mind, Williams and her husband Kevin Hunter set out to tell said story by way of a biopic starring Robin Givens.

Its name? ‘Queen of Media‘.

Mary J. Blige has discovered that the polarising world leader Saddam Hussein spent his last days eatings muffins and listening to her music.

As he awaited trial for his crimes against humanity in Baghdad Saddam, he was watched over by a group of American soldiers who can now speak openly about his behaviour behind bars.

One of them is Mr. Will Bardenwerper who penned the book The Prisoner in His Palace: Saddam Hussein, His American Guards, and What History Leaves Unsaid’.

Will reveals that the dictator would often listen to the radio on the hunt for a jam and would only be satisfied when Mary’s tunes came on.

Alas, the likes of ‘Family Affair’, ‘Sincerity’ and ‘Everything’ did little to save him from his fate as he was executed on December 30th 2006.

In exactly one week (on June 9th), Katy Perry will premiere her fourth studio album – ‘Witness.’

Home to singles ‘Chained To The Rhythm,’ ‘Bon Appetit,’ and ‘Swish Swish’ featuring Nicki Minaj, the LP’s official tracklist was unwrapped moments ago.

Comprised of a sizeable 15-songs, the list is viewable below…

‘Witness’ will serve as her first body of work since 2013’s Platinum certified hit machine ‘Prism.’

Unlike that project though, early days have far from plain sailing for the Pop star, who has struggled to score a top 10 since the #4 peak of ‘Chained’ three months ago. And even that song dropped like a rock rapidly after.

It will be all sorts of interesting if the actual release of the album will manage to dilute the various controversies and embarrassing viral moments Perry has experienced in the run-up to its arrival.

Chance the Rapper revealed that he is deeply moved and hurt by the racist attack Lebron James was forced to confront days ago.

What Chance had to say about it during his recent interview with ‘The View‘?

It’s kind of a common pattern in America’s history. When people that look like me get to a certain point of success … I mean LeBron James is, to me, the greatest of all-time basketball player, and people want to remind you of how they view you as a second class citizen. There’s not much you can do other than keep thriving.

Joseline Hernandez has never been one to hide her feelings, as such it was only a matter of time before her beef with ‘Love & Hip-Hop’ creator Mona Scott Young became public knowledge.

It’s anyone’s guess what specifically led to the fall-out, but the outspoken reality took to Instagram in the midnight hour to announce that she had quit the Atlanta branch of the controversial VH1 franchise:

The move comes after Hernandez spent several days goading Young online and pushing for a sit-down with Oprah (yes, you read right) to settle their (financial?) differences:

As expected, Young has remained mum. She did, however, throw a gentle jab by posting this Oprah speech:

Yikes.

‘Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta’ has – and continues to be – built on the foundation of the Joseline/Stevie/Mimi dynamic. So, it does beg the question of what will happen moving forward.

Word on the curb is that a lot of the cast have refused to tape with Jos this season (after multiple fall-outs), something viewers have both noticed and complained about.

Should she indeed be “done,” where does it leave the show more broadly? Are the remaining cast strong enough to command high viewership?

What’s more, is Joseline’s established enough to go it alone? She has proven popular guest-hosting on ‘The Real,’ but public meltdowns such as this are hardly likely to make her an enticing prospect to networks that are traditionally more conservative.
