Ariana Grande‘s still feeling the love after ‘One Love Manchester,’ her headlining benefit concert to support victims of the horrific bombing at Manchester Arena.

Taking place at the Emirates Old Trafford earlier today, the fundraiser – watched by the 50,000 in attendance and live streamed to millions more across the globe – raised a whopping $9 million (with very penny set to aid the ‘We Love Manchester Emergency Fund’).

As if that wasn’t enough, Grande (ahead of the concert showing) also re-released her 2015 single ‘One Last Time’ to assist the cause.  Taking to Twitter yesterday, it was announced:

Shortly after, the tune jetted to #1 on the digital tally – a feat supported by tonight’s live showing.  Broadcast across the world, the impact of Grande’s performances was so powerful, the pop princess not only maintained her hold at #1, but also saw other former hits storm the top 20 on UK iTunes.

The song is faring well on U.S. and global iTunes charts as well, hitting the top 10 on both.  The real-time U.S. chart is seen below:

It’s true;  Bryson Tiller‘s sophomore album, ‘True To Self,’ has captured the crown of the Billboard 200.

As we reported here, the set – which hit shelves a month before its previously announced release date – was predicted to move 110-130k SPS its first week (which, if met, would equate to over 5 times that of the first week sales of his inaugural release, ‘Trap Soul’).

Now that the tallying week has ended, industry analysts have revealed the rapper/singer’s final first week sum.  Tuck in below to find out what it is:

Ariana Grande flew the flag for peace, positivity, and perseverance tonight at the ‘One Love Manchester’ concert.

Taking place at the Emirates Old Trafford, the fundraiser was watched by the 50,000 in attendance and millions more across the globe via various TV and online broadcasts.

Throughout the night, which saw acts like Grande, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Pharrell, and Little Mix,  grace the stage – viewers were urged to donate – and they did in earnest.

ABC’s GMA confirms that over $9 million was raised to benefit the Red Cross charity’s fund for the survivors of the terrorist bomb attack and the families of the deceased.

Major kudos to Ariana and her team, as well as all of the artists involved.

The show was a beautiful salute to all affected and a global showcase of strength and solidarity.

Much respect.

14 years removed from the release of her debut solo album Beyonce finds her legacy and impact on Pop culture both unmatched and impenetrable.

Alas, by way of her unfair firing from the group Destiny’s Child, LeToya Luckett finds that she cannot say the same.

How she feels about this?

Find out via her recent interview with the OWN network’s ‘Book of John Gray’ below…

The supergroup’s former manager Mathew Knowles maintains that Luckett and LaTavia Roberson jumped before they could be pushed.

Ariana Grande unites some of music’s top names for One Love Manchester – a fundraising concert to honor the lives lost in the Manchester terrorist bombing attack two weeks ago.

As widely reported, the tragedy struck at the 23-year-old’s ‘Dangerous Woman Tour’ stop in the city.

Promoting peace, positivity, and perseverance, Grande will grace the stage today at the Emirates Old Trafford. Joining her are Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Usher, Miley Cyrus, Little Mix, Pharrell Williams, Take That, and more.

Katy Perry is peddling her latest single ‘Bon Appétit’ on the international circuit.

Last night brought the Pop star to The Voice France, where she (along with propped dancers) performed the track.

With just a week to go before her new album ‘Witness’ hits stores, can Katy cook up some much needed excitement?

Watch below….

Sigh. Yet more proof that she needs to lay this song to rest. After all, the public already have.

Even without the awkward presence of Migos, this still fell pancake flat. She performs with the stiffness of Pinocchio and looked like she’d rather be in bed.

Tired.

August Alsina isn’t letting his health issues stand in the way of his quest to top R&B.

Days after revealing that he is battling a liver-related illness with the help of his good friend Jada Pinkett-Smith, he has announced that he is hitting the road with a new live show!

The tour will lead the way for his third studio album which is yet to bag a release date.

Britney Spears isn’t famed for her stellar vocals, but more-so her ability to put on a show. However, even that was proving problematic last night during her concert in Japan.

While performing ‘Slave 4 U,’ the 36-year-old put on a mask. Yet, when trying to take it off she instead removed her mic while then became tangled in her hair.

If it sounds like a mess that’s because it was.

Worst still is the fact that her “vocals” continued to blare out of the speakers the entire time.

See what we mean below….

At this point, it continues to baffle why anyone would pay to “hear” a show they could have played on their iPod.

Add to that the reality that the best of Britney lives on YouTube and there’s literally no point to subject oneself to what has become a farce.

‘Wonder Woman‘ is scorching the box office and shaming the critics!

Following talk of on-set drama, reshoots and bombing fears, the Gal Gadot-fronted movie has risen above the flames and is expected to generate $101.4 million by the end of the weekend.

Patty Jenkins directed the action offering on a budget of $149 million and celebrates its success the latest version of the Wonder Woman character was introduced in the critically-panned ‘Batman vs Superman‘.

In the wee hours of Sunday morning our girl K. Michelle took to Twitter to offer a praise report of sorts.  The ‘More Issues Than Vogue’ singer issued a testimony to her followers, dishing on how industry politics almost led to the derailing of her second album.

Pointing the finger at an unnamed female artist, Michelle detailed (in a now deleted series of tweets) how she was able to overcome the circumstance that, ultimately, changed her view on the music business.

Apparently, she didn’t delete the tweets fast enough.  For, just minutes after the updates hit the net, the singer’s handle was swarmed by fans of Nicki Minaj – many of whom immediately assumed she was the unnamed female referred to in Michelle’s series of texts.

This year’s Billboard Music Awards may have drawn its lowest viewership in 5 years, but that certainly didn’t stop those who did tune in from showing love to some of the performers on the show’s star-studded roster.

With show-stopping performances from the likes of Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus, Cher, and Celine Dion, the awards ceremony’s showings not only dropped jaws, but – if a recent report is to believed – also encouraged viewers to drop coins in support of their favorite acts.

According to Billboard:

The 2017 Billboard Music Awards prompted a 37 percent sales gain for the songs performed on ABC’s May 21 broadcast, according to Nielsen Music.

The songs performed on the three-hour show – not including newly released tracks from Camila Cabello and Miley Cyrus – sold a total of 332,000 downloads in the week ending May 25. That sum was up 37 percent compared to the tunes’ collective sales haul in the previous week: 243,000.

Some notable increases include:

  • Bruno Mars’ “Versace on the Floor” (up 395 percent to 7,000)
  • Drake’s “Gyalchester” (increasing 158 percent to 7,000).
  • Cher’s “Believe” jumped 499 percent (to 4,000 sold)  while “If I Could Turn Back Time,” zoomed 578 percent (to 4,000).
  • Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” nets a 393 percent sales gain (sold 6,000 downloads in the latest tracking frame)
  • Jason Derulo’s “Swalla,” featuring Nicki Minaj (30,000; up 19 percent)
  • Ed Sheeran’s “Castle on the Hill” (30,000; up 35 percent)

Despite only having 3 #1 singles to his name (one as a lead artist), ‘Views’ rapper Drake has enjoyed the view from various points on the Billboard Hot 100.  A record breaking artist who’s seen entire albums simultaneously chart on the tally, it should come as no surprise the hip hop hitmaker has seen his name recently penciled in history books for yet another milestone achievement.

Tuck in below to see what it is & see this week’s refreshed TGJ Chart Check:  Hot 100:

As we reported here, Drake has had more charting songs than any other artist in history.  Now, he can lay claim to another Billboard-shattering record:  the longest stay on the Hot 100 in history.  His breakout single, ‘Best I Ever Had,’ first charted in May 2009.  Since then, not one single day, week, month, or year has gone by where a song led by or featuring the rapper has not been on the chart. He is the first act to ever achieve such a feat.

To put that into perspective, the last 420+ weeks have seen his name somewhere between 1-100.
