It’s almost time for the 54th Annual NAACP Image Awards.

Unveiling its full list of nominations today, the prestigious awards honor actors, actresses, singers, authors, and activists of color, in and out of the entertainment industry.

Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar, ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, and ‘Insecure’ lead the pack of music, film, and TV nominees.

Queen Bey and K. Dot top the music tally with 5 nominations each, while Marvel’s hotly anticipated ‘Black Panther’ sequel and the Quinta Brunson-led ‘Abbott’ amassed 12 and 9 noms in their respective fields.

Elsewhere ABC and Netflix lead in the TV and motion picture categories.

The iHeartRadio Music Awards, one of music’s biggest nights, has announced the star-studded nominations roster for its 2023 edition.

Airing live from Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 27, the event – now in its 10th year – toasts the most-played artists and songs on iHeartRadio stations and the iHeartRadio app throughout 2022.

Leading this year’s highly competitive list are Lizzo, Taylor Swift, and Harry Styles – who garnered 7 nods apiece.  Behind them, Drake, Dua Lipa, and Bad Bunny are among the big names who nabbed 6 mentions while Doja Cat and Beyoncé are among the acts who have 5 each.

With the shock of Takeoff‘s death still reverberating, the late rapper’s Migos bandmate Quavo has released a new song in tribute.

Christened ‘Without You,’ the emotional track arrived alongside a studio-based video in which the MC reflects on the bond they shared – not just as members of the group, but as family too.

Quavo raps:

“Tears rolling down my eyes, can’t tell you how many times I cried.
Days ain’t the same without you
Ion know if I’m the same without you.”

Quavo has been seldom seen since the tragic killing of his Migos bandmate (and family member) Takeoff on November 1.

Indeed, the MC has not been spotted in public since the star’s funeral in the weeks that followed. An event in which he poured out the grief he was feeling.

Now, the star has resurfaced as he attempts to move forward.

The inaugural Children’s & Family Emmys took over the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles over the weekend for a two-night event to toast to the year’s best family-friendly programming.

JoJo Siwa hosted the Creative Arts ceremony on Night 1 (December 10), and Jack McBrayer signed on for hosting duties on Night 2 (December 11).

In news that continues to send shockwaves throughout the entertainment industry, actress Kirstie Alley died Monday (December 5) at 71 after a private battle with colon cancer (as we reported here).
