Michael Jordan has a released a statement condemning the treatment of African-American citizens in the United States by the legal system.

Published in response to the murders of Philando Castile and Alton Sterling, the former athlete’s statement came armed with a donation of $2 million made to civil rights organisations.

The problem?

His altruism seems to have been ignited after he learned of plans that were being made to boycott his products.

As reported here, ‘Full Moon’ maestra Brandy is moving full speed ahead refiling suit against Chameleon Entertainment (her record label home) and its president, Breyon Prescott, who – according to her – is refusing to release her from the “unfair” contract she’s signed with them.

Taking to Billboard, B-Rocka revealed:

“I’m as free as a bird in my mind,” Brandy tells Billboard. “But on paper, it looks like I’m a slave. And I’m not a slave. The kind of deal I’m signed to should be criminal to any artist.”

While time will tell if the Grammy winning diva will win her suit seeking over $270,000 from damages allegedly incurred during her time on the label, one thing is certain – she is losing the favor of Prescott and co. as they took to TMZ recently to clap back at her ‘slavery’ allegations.

Tank must have forgotten his fiery rant against fans not supporting his efforts some time ago because he’s released 2 project since then and, if reports are to be believed, is set to release two more over the next year.

After recently confirming his group TGT (with Tyrese and Ginuwine) have reconciled and are readying a new album, Tank is now hard at work creating the follow-up to his solo effort ‘Sex, Love, & Pain II’ (released earlier this year).

The first taste of what he’s set to serve comes courtesy of the BAM-produced tune ‘No Drugs.’ Hear it below:

The media maven turns 47 today and rung in the occasion last night with a turn up in Las Vegas, home of her successful ‘All I Have’ residency.

Donning a fierce brown catsuit courtesy of Balmain, the singer/actress/entrepreneur was joined by an interest mix of names. Said list included French Montana, Kim Kardashian, and Calvin Harris. 

Given recent events (see: Taylor Swift), the latter two stars definitely make for a timely collective.
