Vogue magazine’s September issue is doing more than helping the singer Beyonce to make history this year.

For, the fashion publication called on the creative Mario Testino to capture the cast of ‘Empire’ for the issue before the show returns for a second season next month.

There, joined by the show’s creator Lee Daniels and ‘Can’t Feel My Face’ vocalist The Weeknd, the cast hints that their forthcoming season will also see them welcome the supermodel Jourdan Dunn (far right) who stands alongside them in the fashion-forward shoot.

Priscilla Renea.

If the name above sounds unfamiliar it may because you aren’t a die-hard Fifth Harmony  supporter. If you are you’ll know that Ms. Renea is the brains behind the group’s smash hit single ‘Worth It’ which has endorsed by the hit-spewing star that is Taylor Swift.

How she did it? By performing it with them during the latest showing of her ‘1989 Tour.‘

In a time where vocal-less vocalists sit at the forefront of Pop the duo Louis York are a reminder that raw talent is anything but a thing of the past…even if it often seems that way.

Made up of the cut-creators Chuck Harmony and Claude Kelly the act first stepped onto the scene with the number ‘Clair Huxtable’ and return with their second single ‘Good Drinks, Dumb Jokes’ which appears on their forthcoming release ‘Masterpiece Theater Act I.’

Welcome back to TGJ Replay!

Designed much like our ‘Retro Rewind’ and ‘From the Vault’ features, ‘Replay’ is That Grape Juice‘s newest reflective segment to act as a written quest to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday. Unlike its TGJ retrospective predecessors, ‘Replay’ looks to dust off and showcase entire albums (and eras) from a library of pop and Urban pop music hits.

Kelly Rowland is keeping the teasers coming.

The ‘Kisses Down Low’ cooer has been hard at work piecing together her fifth studio album, and has been treating fans to morsels of the material she’s been baking.

While in Egypt, the married mother of one took a moment to share a snippet of a new number. Though untitled, she captioned the clip “me & my behbeh” – which pulls on lyrics from the song.

Readers of That Grape Juice know what avid music lovers we are – especially of hits past.

So, just as our retrospective features ‘From the Vault’ and ‘TGJ Replay’  allow us the chance to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday of one artist, our newest feature Chart Rewind – a variation of our current Retro Rewind assay – accedes salutes to an entire era of music history.

On this #FBF we press play on splash hit ‘Waterfalls,’ the now signature song for R&B trio TLC.  Giving the girls the second #1 hit of their careers, the tune – found aboard their top-selling ‘CrazySexyCool’ album – notched an impressive 7 week reign atop the Billboard Hot 100 in 1995.

This week (that year) would be its last roost on the perch of the Hot 100 for the songbirds of TLC as, just one week later, they would be kissed goodbye by crooner Seal‘s signature hit ‘Kiss From a Rose.’

Mario Testino was one piece of the high fashion puzzle that makes Beyonce the first Black singer to cover Vogue magazine’s September issue this year.

Her time with the publication was set up to generate fresh attention for her brand as she continues to work on her next studio album which she is said to be recording in the Hamptons with her ‘Beyonce‘ collaborator Boots.
