‘This Woman’s Work’ wailer Maxwell worked up a firestorm of controversy with his Twitter followers earlier today when he shared a tweet jokingly praising the “light skinned negro”.

Listing a host of performers including Drake, Prince, Chris Brown, and more, fans weren’t too pleased when they got to the last name on the last – pop pinup Justin Bieber.

The response was so brutal, the ‘Fortunate’ crooner had to follow with a number of explanatory tweets to ensure everyone understood it was a joke.

Was it worth the uproar?  You tell us:

Cop a gander at ‘Hot & Cold’ hitmaker Katy Perry heating up the latest issue of Billboard magazine.  Before undoubtedly revving up the massive promo machine that will accompany her newest album ‘Prism’ (October 22), the songstress revved up her faithful #Katycats last month for their input on her next single.

With the Juicy J-assisted tune ‘Dark Horse’ quickly walking away with the victory over its ‘Walking On Air’ competitor, fans were sure it would be given the video treatment.

But, despite the song making a handsome top 20 debut on the Hot 100 this week (with virtually no promo), it appears Perry & team have dashed in another direction for the ‘Prism’s follow-up pick.

Tuck in below to see one more snap from the Billboard mag cover, read excerpts from the interview, and find out what the singer’s next single will be…

Oh, Britney.

The past week has seen the pop princess reign atop headlines for all the right and wrong reasons.  First, much to fan delight, Spears re-emerged with a new single ‘Work B*tch’ – the first from her yet-titled 8th album.  Days later, news surfaced the single didn’t work to get the singer back atop charts.

Next, the ‘Toxic’ tinwoman launched a week-long promo run to share news of her 2-year Vegas residency.  Days later, conflicting reports surfaced regarding the show’s “abysmal sales”.

Well, it seems now manager Larry Rudolph has had enough of the rumors the singer would be on a 2-year “lip syncing” fest and slams reports of poor ticket sales for the event.  Giving dibs on the singer’s new album, even going so far to compare it to Madonna‘s ‘Ray of Light’, tuck in below for Rudolph’s report:
