Last week brought with it the chart hurricane that has been Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’.

Arriving just one week after it was revealed that no album released this year had achieved Platinum status in the US, the ‘Shake It Off’ led set managed to change that in the space of seven days after selling a whopping 1.2 million copies.

However, a new report by The Guardian has revealed shocking details about the LP’s sales that will be sure to set tongues a’wagging.

As reported, the 2014 Soul Train Awards will play host to a rousing ‘Ladies Night’ reunion.

Lil Kim, Missy Elliott, and Da Brat will take to the stage to perform the remix of their 1997 smash at the Las Vegas based ceremony.

Set to tape tomorrow (November 8th) and air on Centric on November 30th, snaps from the trio’s rehearsal have surfaced.

Fans of Fifth Harmony will have to wait slightly longer for the group’s debut album ‘Reflection’.

The release window for the set has moved around a fair bit this year, however the LP was most recently confirmed to arrive on December 16th.

Today, though, the quintet revealed that the project – preceded by singles ‘Bo$$’ and ‘Sledgehammer’ – will now hit retail in January.

An all-star cast has been assembled to for Paramount’s powerful re-telling of one of Martin Luther King Jr‘s most noble and notable deeds.

Led by critically acclaimed actor David Oyelowo, who plays the iconic civil rights leader, the movie tracks King’s struggle to secure voting rights for all people, culminating in the Alabama march from Selma to Montgomery and President Lyndon Johnson’s signing of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

Oprah Winfrey and Cuba Gooding Jr also star in the picture, which is set for a limited release on Christmas Day and a mainstream push from January 9th next year.

Given that Nadine Coyle served as Girls Aloud‘s only talented singer, the assumption would be that her former bandmates would, at the very least, offer a base-level of respect. After all, despite the group’s well-documented issues, the fact remains that it’s her voice alone that is most synonymous the band’s sound.

The legal drama, which stars Viola Davis, follows a group of ambitious law students and their brilliant criminal defence professor; the group become involved in a twisted murder plot that promises to change the course of their lives. 

It all makes for a riveting watch. We’re already hooked!
