While Fergie‘s sole solo album, ‘The Dutchess’, pre-dates That Grape Juice, it’s fair to say the Black Eyed Peas star had the industry at her beck and call during her singular breakthrough.

Indeed, hit after mega-hit defined her 2006 solo run; a fact which saw her serve as one of the biggest female acts at the time and a fact which has made her solo silence since then wholly puzzling.

For, even though the Peas went on to achieve even greater success upon their return (see: ‘The E.N.D’, ‘I Gotta Feeling’), many still long for another Fergie singular outing.

Well, it appears the 37 year old has listened to those calls.

At the Cell Phones For Soldiers Voli Light Vodka Party last night, the singer (real name Stacy Ferguson) revealed that she is working on a second solo project.

Let’s be honest.

Not since the latter part of her ‘Loud‘ era has Rihanna served vocals as consistent as those boasted today, in the moment that is ‘Unapologetic‘.

Now, in a continued effort to flaunt Rihanna the singer, the star delivered what we’ve billed her ‘best performance to date’ on the X Factor UK final with a medley of her most recent hits.

Think we’re exaggerating?

Rihanna is indeed pop’s premier polarizer.

With seven albums in just as many years, the Grammy-winner has amassed a wealth of hits that trounce that of rival singers who have twice her tenure (and talent).

But, even with the history books singing her praises and logging new entries of her achievements on a (seemingly) weekly basis, some music buyers are just not sold on Rihanna…

Money can buy many things, but unfortunately for Tesco Value Tulisa it simply wasn’t enough. For despite a huge promotional campaign and weekly exposure on The X Factor, the 24 year old has scored a UK chart double. A double flop.

It seems there’s no love lost between ‘Ghetto Baby‘ singer Cheryl Cole and ‘Boomerang‘ belle Nicole Scherzinger.

Yes, despite their shared ‘passion’ for Simon Cowell‘s ‘X Factor‘ brand, the pair are fast becoming Pop’s latest rivals, following interesting claims made by Cole in her 2012 autobiography, ‘My Story‘. Claims, which saw her detail an awkward encounter with Scherzinger.

Now, the latter has confronted her on these claims via a spread in Fabulous Magazine.

She may not be much of a vocalist, but very few Brit belles can say they’re on par with Cheryl Cole the entertainer.

That point was proved once again last night when she arrived at Capital FM‘s ‘Jingle Bell Ball’ to perform for fans, months before she’s set to make her way back to the ‘X Factor UK‘.
