As one of the many acts inspired by the icon, Whitney Houston‘s passing in the February of this year may have affected ‘Two / Eleven‘ singer Brandy the most, considering the pair’s long running friendship.

So, after naming the aforementioned LP after the date of Houston’s death and her own birthday, last night saw Norwood honor the star in NYC- at her Best-Buy theater outing.

She may be in the middle of recording a new album, but it seems Rihanna has no interest in protecting the gem that is her voice.

For, in what might explain those raspy and oft flat vocals, the starlet was snapped enjoying a Shisha pipe during her time in Baku, Azerbaijan 10 days ago, where she performed at the city’s ‘Crystal Hall’.

Peep a glowing Katy Perry, out and about with close friend John Mayer on Sunday night.

Enjoying dinner at NYC’s ‘Pearl Restaurant’, the pair were then snapped leaving together two months after reports indicated they had split, and two years after the release of third studio album ‘Teenage Dream‘.

An album, which saw the star spawn 5 #1  singles and has sold over 2 million copies in the US alone, surpassing worldwide sales scored by Rihanna‘s ‘Talk That Talk‘, Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday’ and Mariah Carey‘s ‘Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel’.

An album, which is yet to receive Platinum status in the US even three years after release.

 Before arriving at the Palais Ominsports de Paris- Bercy to deliver the French showing of her ‘Dance Again‘ Tour, Pop stunner Jennifer Lopez celebrated her sister’s birthday party last night, in Paris’ Buddha Bar.

Joined by manager Benny Medina and boyfriend Casper Smart, the Lopez clan enjoyed a night of wining and dining in honor of Lynda‘s 43rd b’day, marking the latest sighting from the family- who arrive in Ireland in a day’s time in further support of Jennifer’s tour.

A scripted series set to follow the lives of a variety of characters who live, work, and play in downtown L.A., the show (from the directors of ‘The L Word’) will also be starring Darryl Stephens (best known for his work as Noah on the channel’s hit “Noah’s Arc” series), Melanie Griffith, comedienne  Sandra Bernhard, and more.

Move over Mary Mary!

For, after news that fellow gospel performers Marvin Sapp and Kim Burrell earning their own reality shows, BET now unveils news of plans to introduce their first gospel reality show – starring none other than famed gospel legend Karen Clark Sheard (one fourth of the legendary Clark Sisters).

Joined by daughter/Urban contemporary gospel songstress Kierra Sheard and son/proudcer J. Drew Sheard, the show is one of many new “spiritually themed” programs being added to the channel in the coming months.  Reportedly already a month into taping, no official news has been unveiled of the show’s premiere date.

Seems ‘Enough of No Love’ songstress Keyshia Cole has had enough of the antics of lip balm boycotter Gucci Mane after the rapper mentioned her in a recent Young Jeezy diss track.

As hip hop fans may know, the two emcees have long been beefing – with the latest jab coming from ‘Icy’ hitmaker’s ‘Truth’. The track, to which Gucci recently granted the visual treatment, mentions Cole’s former relationship with Jeezy and implies the ‘I Should’ve Cheated’ songstress was having an affair with hip hop mogul P. Diddy.
