It may not be as Hot 100 friendly as ‘Teenage Dream’, but at the rate it’s selling, Katy Perry‘s ‘Prism’ is paced to outshine its predecessor on album charts.

Already besting ‘Dream’s first week sales to give Perry her best first week outing to date, today brought with it news that ‘Roar’s parent album has now passed the “million sold” mark in its 11th week  (a feat it took ‘Dream’ approximately 20 weeks to accomplish).

Now, as if this news of the singer’s third million-selling album wasn’t enough for KatyCats to celebrate, it comes on the heels of news that the “killer queen” will be collaborating with Queen of Pop Madonna for a new project:

It’s been a little over a year since Patricia Sebert, mother of chart-topping songstress Ke$ha, made headlines for sharing her grievances about the industry she feels has had its fair share of detrimental effects on her diva daughter.

After claiming the Illuminati forced her daughter to sing ‘Die Young’, now mama Sebert is back to slam the industry for the ‘Warrior’ wailer’s highly publicized battle with bulimia – a battle that saw her enter rehab at the top of the year.

As far as R&B goes, Miguel’s arrival has come as nothing of a God-send.

Fact not opinion. For, with a vocal prowess few are able to match and material that’s now seen him sought after by the likes of Beyonce and Mariah Carey, Miguel has gone a long way to prove that his genre is-contrary to public opinion-anything but dead.

Fortunately for the star, his recent contributions to music haven’t gone unnoticed and have earned him a brand new manager set to take him above and beyond the realm he currently resides in.

Remember Brooke Valentine?

2005 brought with it the singer’s sole hit ‘Girlfight’. Indeed, though parent album ‘Chain Letter’ featured a few gems, it garnered next to no traction. A fact which meant follow-up ‘Physical Education’ fared even worse – eventually being axed after a series of delays and the label folding.

Undeterred, the Houston, Texas native has charged on. And it appears her hustle has paid off. For, according to reports, Valentine has been cast on the soon to be launched ‘Love & Hip-Hop: LA’.
