Britney Spears has done it again!

That’s right, before the release of her hotly anticipated eighth studio album, today has welcomed the arrival of its lead single ‘Work B*tch‘.

Is it any good? Well, after spinning it six or seven times, we’re calling this one a grower, even though we hope the rest of her LP sees her take on deeper subject matter, and a more ‘honest’ vocal.

The latest season of The X Factor UK continued in fine form tonight. Unsurprisingly, with this being the audition phase, the talented and talent-challenged came out in equal measure for a crack at progressing to the next stage. Judging the hopefuls are  Gary Barlow, Nicole Scherzinger,  Louis Walsh, and returning panelist Sharon Osbourne.

It’s ironic, if not unfortunate, that Brand Smith has turned the corner that it has.

For, while Will Smith has seen his career go from strength to strength on the back of his talent, genuine nature and ‘salt of the earth kinda guy’ positioning, the arrival of his children in the public eye have seen those admirable qualities overshadowed by ill advised attempts to turn them into household names.

While this haven’t taken away from the public’s love for ‘Big Willy‘, it’s clear that his ‘grounded’ persona doesn’t fall in line with that of his family’s…who seem anything but.

 Two years removed from their ‘Black Treacle’ driven ‘Suck It And See‘, the Arctic Monkeys welcomed the release of their new album ‘AM‘ this week, and now eye the #1 spot on this week’s Official Charts.

Drew Scott gifts the world a brand new number this week, released as he continues to watch his star rise by way of his recently released EP ‘Places I’ve Ever Been‘.

Named ‘Love Alone’, the cut was penned by Nicole Scherzinger collaborator Kareem James and has us hope hoping the pair have more to share in the coming months, with ‘Alone’ scoring a unanimous ’10’ upon its first play here at TGJ HQ.

This week’s That Grape Juice Cover Star is soulful songbird Asia Major. Watch as the US native take on K.Michelle‘s latest hit ‘V.S.O.P.’:

Yes, yes, yes! Asia smashed this.

The clarity of her voice is just simply wonderful.  A tricky song to sing (see: back and forth transition of higher and lower notes), but not only did she “handle” it well, she mixed and molded it into something of her own.
