Fox’s much hyped British import has finally kicked off on American soil and looks set to be the biggest show of its kind.

Featuring judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, LA Reid and Nicole Scherzinger, the show favours American Idol with its nationwide auditions. However, there is a defining twist in that groups and solo acts over 25’s are eligible to enter.

With this being the top 17, the narrowed down few are battling in the live show stage of the competition.

It seems that despite being heavily pregnant , Pop deity Beyonce is showing no signs of slowing down her schedule.

For just days after she was seen attending a business meeting accompanied by long time bodyguard Julius, she was snapped on her way to the Sakura Nail Spa in New York City last night.

Dressed in print and generating quite a commotion as she walked in and out of the establishment, the 16 time Grammy winner is expected to unveil the video for her latest single ‘Party’ tonight.

A regal-looking Jennifer Lopez glowed last night when she Samsung celebrated the success of her charity -the Maribel Foundation at Best Buy in West Los Angeles.

The American Idol judge set up the fund, which benefits the improvement of the health and well-being of women and children, and received a generous pledge from the electrical giant $500,000 towards her efforts.

Undeterred by the 13,000 first week sales of his sophomore set ‘Future History’, Pop trier Jason Derulo took centre stage on the Ellen Degeneres show today in a bid to reignite interest.

There, the 22 year old served up a double showing – performing hits ‘It Girl’ and ‘Don’t Wanna Go Home’.
