Last month saw teen sensation Ariana Grande shock and awe with surprise hit ‘The Way (ft. Mac Miller)’.

Beyond rocking to the top of the iTunes chart, the catchy Pop-Urban cut notably saw many a Mariah Carey comparison made, thanks to its composition and vocal delivery. Indeed, for a number of folk, the former Nickelodeon star bears shades of an early Ms. Carey-Cannon.

Porsha Stewart has shared more details on her separation from former NFL husband Kordell this week, dishing on the divorce during an interview on Andy Cohen‘s ‘Watch What Happens Live‘.

On learning of Kordell’s decision to split, she revealed:

“When I found out about the divorce, it was absolutely a surprise. I was laying in the bed and I Tweeted ‘today is the first day of the rest of your life’.  I put the phone down and took a little nap and I looked back at my phone and my sister was calling me over and over.  She said ‘have you heard’ and I’m like ‘hear what?’.”  I  went back on Twitter and says the first thing she saw was “Kordell is divorcing Porsha”. Porsha admits she thought it was a crazy joke.  Can you imagine finding that out with your husband just hanging out in the other room?”

Addressing the matter hours after her stint on the ‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’s 5th season came to an end, she went on to share that she and Stewart are still living together, no doubt shocking fans who also learned:

““Long story short, I was very disappointed and let down. When I got married, I meant it for life. I always said I’d never get a divorce unless he cheated on me or something like that.”

Though celebrated for her classic contributions to music, Lauryn Hill has been a hot topic for all the wrong reasons in the time since her solo breakthrough ‘The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill’ etched itself in the history books back in 1998. Indeed, so-so performances, personal drama, and erratic rants about “the system” have plagued the former Fugees singer.

The latest, as widely reported, is the criminal charges filed against the 37-year-old for not paying federal taxes on $1.8 million earned between 2005 -2007.

The Maxwell assisted cut is one of the few we enjoyed from the LP, as such we’re elated that it’s receiving the single treatment.

It’s a collaboration that has had us amped since it was announced; Janelle Monae has teamed up with soulful songstress Erykah Badu for new single ‘Q.U.E.E.N’.

The pair’s hotly anticipated duet is the first release to be lifted from Monae’s sophomore set ‘The Electric Lady’ (due later this year).

Speaking on the song, the dynamo performer wrote on Twitter:

Q.U.E.E.N. was inspired by private discussions between Erykah and me. It is meant to make you JAM. DANCE. FUNK OUT. and dialogue later…
