That is the impressive number of views newcomer Kreayshawn has amassed with the video for her debut single ‘Gucci Gucci’. A figure rendered all the more jaw-dropping when discovering that much of it accumulated prior to the 21 year old signing with Columbia Records.

Yet, as her recent deal with the Sony Music imprint attests, this Oakland native’s buzz is undeniable. Which begs the question: just who is Kreayshawn?

That Grape Juice sat down with the femcee, chatting it up with her about her journey thus far, the White Girl Mob, issues of colour and whether she feels her own has hindered her from being taken seriously, Nicki Minaj, Lil Kim, and more.

With announcements from leading ladies Beyonce and Fantasia, seems Fall 2011 is a great season for R&B – with the ‘B’, apparently, being for ‘babies’.  And, while fans are anxiously expecting ‘Sexy Love’ singer Ne-Yo‘s new music projects, US Weekly reports the singer is expecting a few new things of his own.

US Weekly reports:

“The “Closer” singer (real name: Shaffer Chimere Smith) and his longtime girlfriend, Atlanta boutique owner Monyetta Shaw, are engaged and expecting their second child together, her rep confirms.  According to a source, baby number two is due very soon — in October.”

Congratulations are certainly in order for the hitmaker, whose first child was born in November 2010.  In related news, fans should be expecting more new music from Ne-Yo as his Kevin Hart-hosted mixtape 101 and fifth studio album will be arriving in the coming months.

Seems rap’s rising newcomer J. Cole is finding his name in headlines for murmurs as much as his music.  For as the days draw nearer to this September 27th released debut LP ‘Cole World:  A Sideline Story’, the East Coast emcee is finding himself the center of many-a-hot topic.  Most recently speaking with Sirius XM’s DJ Whoo Kid on Shade 45, the rapper lifted the lid on what fans can expect from the album as well as addresses rumors surrounding him (Rihanna sex tape, Jay-Z/Lil’ Wayne beef, etc).

Now in the UK to push her ‘Femme Fatale‘ album, serial chart topper Britney Spears sat down with AOL just hours ago in a bid to boost the sales of of the LP which was greeted with lacklustre sales upon its release in the country.

Answering what were clearly a number of pre screened and pre-approved questions, the performer discussed her love for the city of London and why she sometimes finds touring a necessary but gruelling task.
