Pop diva Kelly Rowland took centre-stage at the NFL’s hotly anticipated (and widely watched) Giants vs Bears game a few moments ago to perform the US National Anthem (The Star Spangled Banner).

The Destiny’s Child star was suffering from a cold, prior to the performance, almost pulling out (with another Universal Motown act reportedly being on standby). She still soldiered on, however.

Check out how she fared after the jump…

Toni Braxton’s ‘Please’ is the latest video to be lifted From The Vault. Released from her gold-certified (and criminally underrated) ‘Libra’ album, the song failed to crack the Billboard Hot 100 as a result of poor promotion. However, ‘Please’ performed relatively well on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, peaking at #36. The video for the Scott Storch-produced track was direct by Chris Robinson.

Braxton shut it down in this video! She was 38 at the time of its release and she looked (and still looks) better than most women half her age. Braxton has a natural sex appeal that never seems forced; a trait that many singers lack in today’s industry. Contralto chocolate.

The Girls Aloud solo showdown just got a little more interesting. Front-woman Nadine Coyle today released the video for her debut solo single ‘Insatiable’.

Filmed in Los Angeles last month, the video for the funky, Big Band track, is the latest shot fired in Coyle and band-mate Cheryl Cole‘s media-orchestrated (yet still interesting) chart battle. Coyle is set to release ‘Insatiable’ on November 1st, while Cole’s new single ‘Promise This’ arrives in stores a week earlier.

Enter Jessie J. The British-bred singer-songwriter first made a name for herself on Youtube where she notched up millions of views, before being snapped up by Universal Music in the US.

An ‘artist’ in every sense of the word, J’s most notable writing credit is the one Miley Cyrus song we’re ‘allowed’ to like, ‘Party In The USA’. Interestingly, the song was meant to be J’s Stateside debut (lyrically addressing her move from the UK to US). However she instead decided to give the song to Cyrus – who went on to have a major hit with it. A potentially great move, if J’s new single is anything to go by.

The hard-hitting ‘Do It Like A Dude’ has been confirmed to be J’s first official release.  Take a listen to the track, which premièred today, below…
