With female rap having quite the resurgence of late, Megan Thee Stallion has emerged at the forefront of the new wave of ladies turning up the heat.
Still, as she continues to activate her Hot Girl Summer, she’s giving props to those who came before her – namely Nicki Minaj.
In a cool moment of ‘U-N-I-T-Y,’ the pair jumped on Instagram Live and showered each other with love, praise, and admiration.

Barely two weeks after the Rap Queen was unceremoniously snubbed from mention at the 2025 GRAMMY nominations reveal has she learned she’s the recipient of major industry awards elsewhere.

#Barbz bummed that their fave Nicki Minaj was recently snubbed by the GRAMMYs yet again were given some royally good news when the Rap Queen took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to confirm the deluxe edition of her last chart-topping album, 2023’s ‘Pink Friday 2,’ would be gifted the deluxe treatment.

Barely a month after trotting into an exclusive diva club thanks to her milestone Hot 100 top 40 hit ‘Mamushi,’ rapper Megan Thee Stallion has galloped to yet another placement in the chart region thanks to her most recent smash ‘Neva Play.’
It’s that time of year!
The BET Hip-Hop Awards 2024 are around the corner. As such, nominations for the hotly anticipated ceremony have been unveiled.
Megan Thee Stallion leads with a whopping 12 nods. Kendrick Lamar follows with 11, while his rival is right behind with Drake following with 8.
Other notable names who scored multiple nominations include Cardi B, GloRilla, Metro Boomin, and Nicki Minaj who landed seven nods. Future and Travis Scott tie with six nods apiece.
This year’s installment of the show takes place in Las Vegas and airs on October 15 on BET at 8pm ET/PT.
Fat Joe returns as host and also co-executive producer. He said in a statement:
“Joe Crack is back for the 3-peat, night night baby. It’s been a dream to host the ‘BET Hip Hop Awards’ the past few years and I’m looking forward to taking things to the next level in Las Vegas.
