According to our friends over at Rap-Up, gyrating Pop starlet Shakira is already hard at work on the follow-up to last year’s ‘She Wolf’ LP. Indeed, the 32 year old recently clocked up studio time in Miami with hitmaker Rico Love, who dished on the project. Check out what he had to say below…

During LeToya‘s set at R&B Live tonight, she was joined on-stage by fellow Destiny’s Child alumni Michelle Williams.

While the nature of the pair’s collaboration remains unknown (though both Williams and Luckett suspiciously allude to a surprise on Twitter), it’s definitely pleasantly surprising to see them teaming up.

Pit against each other for years, after Williams replaced Luckett in Destiny’s Child (who went on to achieve their great success as a trio), this marks the first time the ladies have been snapped together.

It’ll certainly be interesting to see how this plays out!

British boyband JLS have confirmed that the first single to be lifted from their as-yet-untitled sophomore LP is titled ‘The Club Is Alive’.

Set for release on July 4th, the song’s accompanying video will be shot in the US, where the four-piece are currently recording new material.

While it’s a given that JLS’ music and artistry hardly rock my world, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little glad to see such a group succeeding (take from that what you will) – even if they are kinda rubbish LOL. Saying that, surely a little more downtime to work on their craft, before the release of a new album, wouldn’t go amiss. They clearly need it.

Still, I guess with the group catering to the ficklest of audiences, actually being any good doesn’t really matter. In any case, it’ll be interesting to see what they serve up this go round.

Peep Barbados’ Next Top Model, Rihanna, performing in Oberhausen, Germany earlier this week. I guess when lacking in other areas (and ‘lacking’ Ms. Fenty is), the over-selling of sex (appeal) is the next best thing. Oh the industry of today…

Singer-songwriter Keri Hilson took a break  recently from recording her sophomore LP to pose it up in the latest issue of ‘Flaunt’ magazine. “Ms. Keri-Baby” looks great! {Spotted over at Necole Bitchie}

Pop star Kelly Rowland discussed the ins and outs of her style with Top Billing. The interview took place while the singer on the set of her photoshoot for Cosmopolitan magazine in South Africa recently. Check out the video interview above…

Tidbit: In other Kelly news, the video for her exceptionally well-received new ‘Commander’, is set to be shot within the next few weeks. Meanwhile, the shooting of the album packing, from which the song is lifted, took place in New York yesterday. It’s all coming together rather well for Ms. Kelly…

Christina Aguilera continues to taunt her fans with yet another sneak peak of her ‘Not Myself Tonight’. The singer, whose new album, ‘Bionic’, hits stores on June 8th, is clearly staying true to the old adage “sex sells”. ‘Not Myself Tonight’ premieres in its entirety on April 30th via VEVO.  Check out the clip below:

Kelly Rowland‘s brand new single ‘Commander’ has finally premièred!

The epic up-tempo sees Rowland reunite with ‘When Love Takes Over’ producer David Guetta. However, unlike ‘Takes Over’, ‘Commander’ boasts an Urban edge (likely courtesy of the Rico Love, who penned the cut); an edge which, along with the song’s infectious chorus, should see it appeal to the both the Urban and Pop audience.

“From here on out I’ll be your Commander”, Rowland belts. Indeed, the song introduces the world to a fiercer, more ferocious, and ultimately more ‘in-charge’ incarnation of the Destiny’s Child alum. A delicious slice of Electro-Pop greatness, this looks poised to be the song which propels Rowland into the Pop stratosphere as a solo artiste.

Amazing.
